A spectacle of grandeur, Swati Mundhra and Himanshu Bagla’s Goa wedding was flawlessly designed and planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – WedWorks by RSVP. Wedding Planning
For their dream of a destination beach wedding, the couple zeroed in on The Westin Goa. The team of WedWorks by RSVP to plan and design the wedding, while VLW Global executed the decor concepts. Reflecting on the experience, Team WedWorks by RSVP shares, “The planning process was a fun yet a challenging one, as we helped the client make the most of the limited space available to create a memorable experience. Every decor element was planned in detail to ensure that we made the best utilization of the property. The Sufi Night and Haldi were held on the same rooftop venue, but the bigger challenge was hosting the Sangeet and Reception in the same banquet, for which we switched up everything from the side walls to ceiling, entry passage, and adjacent lawn.”
They add, “With a team of over 80 people managing the event, our prime focus was giving the guests an unforgettable experience. Customized branding at the airport for guest arrivals, munching boxes in vehicles en route to the hotel, coconuts with wedding logo at the check-in, shell garlands, and many more personalized details made the guests feel special and left an everlasting mark.”
“For us, this wedding was a special one” they share “not only because of its scale or the appreciation we received from the guests, but because the client trusted us like we were family. The joy of hearing the words – You guys over delivered! This was beyond our expectations – is something which will last for years to come.”
Sufi Night
The wedding unfolded with a boho-themed sufi night with renowned anchor Pragya Tiwari who kicked off the celebrations. The couple awed the guests with their stunning entry which was choreographed to perfection and followed by a blast of music and dance with the talented Swaraag Band.
Pool Party
The next morning was all about fun, food, and music by the pool, brought to life by costumed performers, percussionist Akash, and DJ Hysteric. Counters for popcorn, ice gola, candy, bela sharbat from Rajasthan, malai toast, and tea from Kolkata welcomed the guests to enjoy and have a gala time.
Cocktail
For the Sangeet and Afterparty, the ballroom was transformed into a club-style evening. A mix of LED walls, MI Bars, and foils reflected the mesmerizing intelligent lighting system, adding magic to the occasion, beautiful lounges featured mannequins, and a canopy of MI bars gave the ceiling a bouncy 3D look. An entry passage with the infinity strips welcomed the guests into a night of awe, filled with riveting entertainment, rousing performances, confetti clouds, and a whole lot more.
Haldi
The next morning began with the haldi ceremony, a sunkissed soiree with vibrant yellow decor that included lemons and Ashoka leaves with furniture and linen to match. The Phoolon ki Holi saw a performance by the ‘Radha Krishna’ group, making for a memorable experience for everyone present!
Wedding
Imagined in rich hues of red, cream, and gold, the wedding was regal with vintage nostalgia. High on swagger, the baraat kicked off the festivities as the groom arrived in a vintage car with CO2 guns, confetti, pyros, and much more. Performed on a platform on the hotel lobby pond, the grand varmala ceremony left everyone in awe, followed by the grand reception, and Midnight phera ceremony accompanied by Balika Vadhu fame singer Rekha Rao and Band. Brimming with roses, the mandap set an ambiance that was as serene as it was majestic.
