Nothing like exploring a new destination to mark a landmark celebration in life! Kusum and Vinod Kothari whisked away their loved ones to the ‘lantern city’ of Hoi An in Vietnam for a silver jubilee anniversary celebration full of love, laughter, and special memories. After a lot of research, we discovered and fell in love with the aesthetics of Hoi An, and found the perfect venue at the Palm Garden Resort. With stunning backdrops and tons of event spaces, it was the perfect choice for a celebration with multiple and distinct functions.”
Retro Night
The couple and their guests arrived to a warm Vietnamese welcome at the resort. Traditionally dressed women offered them straw hats while performers greeted them with song and dance, and welcomed them to explore and embrace the local flavors of the resort. The evening continued with a fun-filled ‘Retro Night’ brimming with the charm and nostalgia of old Bollywood. Film posters and photos of film stars peppered the venue to set the mood, while everyone sported their best take of retro fashion in the spirit of the evening. It was a night of music, dance, and laughter!
Sufi Night
An evening of grace and glamor, the Sufi Night was replete with decadent decor and rousing festivities. The rich palette of jewel tones was elevated with gold palm leaves and pampas to set an opulent ambiance for a night of melodious tunes and non-stop enjoyment.
Beach Party
What’s a trip to Vietnam without some beach fun? The couple and their loved ones took the beachside lawns for a vibrant High-Tea sundowner, all decked up in colorful prints and fun outfits! A massive hashtag and brightly dressed performers greeted the guests while a criss-crossing canopy of string lights lit up the lush lawns. The guests enjoyed some live barbeque and delicious eats as they danced and made merry.
Ring Ceremony
The piece-de-resistance of the trip, the ring ceremony saw an evening of ethereal decor and unforgettable moments. The romantic floral decor in vivid hues of pink and purple recreated the vibe of an enchanted garden for the indoor soiree, complete with paths lined with crystal chandeliers, candles, misty floors, and more. The couple made a dazzling entry with an entourage of dancing artists dressed like angels and wowed everyone with their beautiful performance on the stage. Surrounded by their friends and family, they exchanged rings before cutting a massive inverted cake as the crowd cheered.
