Set against a canvas of creativity and innovation, Tamanna and Nikunj’s wedding at Grand Hyatt Kochi Bolgatty, nestled by the serene backwaters, was an unforgettable spectacle designed by WeddingSutra Favorite — Watermark Weddings. Merging artistry with technology, the team conceptualised a celebration that offered a variety of cultures and moods, right from Kerala-style cultural nuances and vibrant Rajasthani elements to a futuristic Sangeet that redefined immersive décor.
Wedding Decor and Design
Sidhesh Kandiyil and his team at Watermark Weddings translated the couple’s vision of ‘something for everyone’ into an experiential journey across multiple worlds that also became an award-winning celebration. “The couple wanted every event to tell a story, rooted in culture, yet progressive in design,” shares Sidhesh. The decor and design process revolved around curating unique experiences — from a traditional Kerala welcome and authentic Sadhya to a Western-style carnival, a bold black-and-red themed dinner, and a Techtopia Sangeet that bridged nature and innovation.
One of Watermark Weddings’ standout design feats was the introduction of hologram fans integrated into the bar setup — a first in the Indian wedding space. “We aimed to blend nature and technology to create a futuristic forest” explains Sidhesh. “These holograms projected birds and flowers in motion, bringing our mystical forest concept alive with subtle soundscapes of rustling leaves and flowing water.”

Kerala Welcome
The celebrations began with a warm and soulful Kerala welcome. The resonant beats of the Chenda Melam filled the air as Kathakali performers, adorned in vibrant costumes, danced to rhythmic perfection. The powerful drumming and expressive storytelling transported guests into the cultural heart of Kerala, setting the tone for the festivities ahead.
Myra
This event beautifully fused the traditions of India’s northern and southern regions — a colourful Myra celebration paired with an authentic ‘Sadhya’ feast. The décor was an ode to Rajasthani vibrance, with bursts of colour, intricate patterns, and traditional elements harmoniously blending into the serene cultural accents of the South.
Welcome Dinner
The Welcome Dinner unfolded under a palette of black and red. The atmosphere pulsed with music and warmth, as candlelight reflected off crimson blooms and textured fabrics, creating a space where glamour met intimacy. It was a night that shimmered with energy, marking the perfect prelude to the grand celebrations ahead.
Sangeet
Nikunj and Tamanna’s Techtopia Sangeet was unlike any other, a futuristic forest brought to life with neon-lit branches, holographic animations, and digital projections. Under the glowing canopy, music and light synced to create a dreamlike ambience. As Sidhesh describes it, “The Sangeet was about transcending the ordinary, where tradition fused with technology, and nature met innovation.”
Wedding
The venue glowed under grand chandeliers, velvet drapes, and opulent gold accents. Deep red roses adorned the space, echoing the couple’s romantic journey. Candlelit tables, vintage mirrors, and plush fabrics created an atmosphere that was both royal and intimate. The entire décor felt like a journey through eras, blending the charm of a bygone palace with the sophistication of modern design.
