Inside Scoop: Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas to Host Two Receptions in Mumbai

Twice is nice, when it comes to receptions. These days, dual wedding receptions seem to be the new mantra of the B-Club (Billionaire as well as Bollywood Club). Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh hosted two receptions – one in Bangalore and the other in Mumbai. The Ambanis and the Piramals also followed suit by hosting an intimate reception at Isha and Anand Piramal’s new bungalow called ‘Gulita’ at Worli. Their second reception was held at Jio Gardens in BKC for their larger circle of friends and relatives, social acquaintances and business connections. The guest list also included senior managers of the Reliance and Piramal groups, and professionals from all the event management companies and wedding vendors who played a part in the big, fat wedding celebrations that were spread across Udaipur and Mumbai.
Now Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are also slated to host two receptions in Mumbai. We’ve heard that the two of Bollywood’s favorite wedding venues have been finalized for the same – the JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu and Taj Lands End, Mumbai. Both these hotels have hosted the maximum number of weddings for members of the film and television fraternities. Our sources share that one reception will be a small and intimate affair for Priyanka’s close media and social acquaintances, while the other will be a glitzy, glamorous bash for her larger Bollywood circle, similar to the one hosted by Deepika and Ranveer at Grand Hyatt.
Interestingly, this will be Priyanka’s third wedding function at a Taj hotel. She tied the knot with Nick Jonas at Taj’s Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur and the functions there were managed by top destination wedding planner Aditya Motwane of Motwane Entertainment & Weddings and designed by ace couturiers Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. Her New Delhi reception which was held at the Darbar Hall of the Taj Palace Hotel was planned by the capital’s well-known event professional – Chetan Vohra of Weddingline.
