Inspired by the ghats of Banaras, this wedding mandap was bedecked with traditional Indian blooms and diyas

Dhriti and Rishabh’s wedding in Daman was nothing short of a visual odyssey—an exquisite celebration brought to life by the expert vision of WeddingSutra Favorite – Bhoomi Events and Planners. With an eye for immersive storytelling and a flair for design that blends grandeur with emotion, the team orchestrated a series of stunning events.

The festivities began with a vibrant carnival-themed celebration inspired by the lush magic of the Amazon forest. Dinesh Pandya of Bhoomi Events shares, “Dhriti and Rishabh wanted something immersive and playful. An atmosphere that felt alive and adventurous, but still deeply rooted in elegance.” What emerged was a tropical wonderland, layered with cascading foliage, vibrant floral tunnels, and pathways enveloped in rich greenery. Bright bursts of reds, yellows, and oranges were softened by neutral drapes and organic textures. From rustic bohemian accents to grand floral installations, every detail evoked the wild spirit of the jungle.

As twilight descended, guests were transported into a world of roaring jazz and Art Deco opulence with a Sangeet that echoed the glamour of The Great Gatsby. The space dazzled in hues of black and gold, with plush lounges, sequined cushions, and glittering feathered centrepieces conjuring the spirit of a 1920s soirée. Circular LED installations bathed the venue in a soft, golden glow, while the stage, draped in silk and framed by gilded floral arches, became a dramatic backdrop for heartfelt performances and exuberant dances. “We wanted this night to feel indulgent and cinematic,” Dinesh notes, “as if the guests were stepping into a film set which was stylish, nostalgic, and unforgettable.”

The wedding day unfolded in reverent splendour with a Banaras Ghat-inspired setting that radiated sacred warmth and regal detail. The décor paid homage to the holy city of Varanasi via brass urlis lined with rose petals and diyas, low seating adorned with Banarasi brocade, and temple bells that gently chimed in the cool November breeze. At the heart of it all stood a breathtaking mandap, reminiscent of a Ganga ghat, layered with marigolds, mogra garlands, and miniature temple domes lit by hundreds of diyas. An amphitheatre-style layout mirrored the ghats themselves, giving the ceremony a sense of sacred intimacy. Guests were awed by the ceremonial elements, like a royal palki for the bride’s entrance, priests performing a Ganga Aarti, and hand-painted murals of Kashi weaving the soul of the ancient city into the celebration.
