Kashmiri Pandit Wedding at the magnificent Hari Niwas Palace
Destination Weddings, Wedding Photography & Films - Apr 9, 2012
Mrinali Kaul and Amit Kumar from Canada got married at the Hari Niwas Palace in Jammu. The traditional ceremony was a six hour affair, held as per Kashmir Pandit marriage rituals.

Hari Niwas Palace overlooks the Tawi river valley on one side and Trikuta hills of the Vaishno Devi shrine on the other. It is now looked after by Mahara Kumar Ajatshatru Singh and Kumarani Ritu Singh, who are the grandson and daughter-in-law of Maharaja Hari Singh.
Ace Wedding Photographer Atul Pratap Chauhan who shot the traditional festivities and the post wedding shoot tells us more. “It was a special and unique experience. The old Palace feel of the hotel make one feel very good. The views are spectacular, and the place is quiet and calm, so as a photographer I couldn’t have asked for a more magnificent yet serene locale.
