Keshina and Pratik’s Platinum Day of Love
Love Actually, Pre Wedding Photoshoots - Mar 1, 2019
Our initiative ‘Love Actually’ features engaged couples and captures beautiful moments between them. The series celebrates people in love as they start their lives together. Over a fabulous makeover and a photo shoot, we get these couples to share how they met, capture the rare connection they have and talk about their day of love.
There is hope and faith in knowing that someone out there is waiting on your heart to unite. Lovers come into this life on a treasure hunt. They move through the years waiting to find ‘that one’ who will connect with them and complete them. If you have lost hope, Keshina and Pratik’s story will restore your faith in true love.
Knotty Affair by Namit & Vipul captured Keshina and Pratik’s love story on a beautiful morning at Marine Drive, maybe one of Mumbai’s most timeless romantic spots. The endless ocean as a backdrop, the promenade to play on – this vibrant hub was their first pick as a location to showcase their love.
And this Platinum Day of Love was marked by a wonderful moment when Keshina decided to take matters into her own hands and surprised Pratik with a proposal! The couple, both bright and young and evolved, value equality in every way. They see each other as equals, treat each other with respect, consider each other’s needs, and support one another.
Their precious, unique relationship began by chance but seemed determined by fate.
They say don’t go looking for love, because love will come find you. And if you read this couple’s tale, you’ll believe it to be true.
“Though we’d been introduced by a mutual friend in college, we first met in a crowded market place called Suthar Chawl in Mumbai,” Keshina says. “We owned businesses here and we’d bump into each other and smile. Our ‘hellos’ were extended when we connected eventually on social media.”
Keshina was a complete tomboy and tough on the opposite sex but Pratik sussed that she had a soft corner for a few things. Like her NGO. Keshina smiles as she says, “He became an active member of my favorite NGO. From Masjid Bandar to Chakala and Zaveri Bazar to Abdul Rehman Street, we started seeing each other in all these markets. Love blossomed in the most unexpected places. I started developing a soft corner for him but was not so sure about my feelings and was nervous too! Our friendship blossomed into love and it was clear that it was genuine and loyal. We’ve been together for a while and it’s ironic how it all worked out perfectly. He completes me and understands me in a way no one else could!”
After establishing a solid friendship and a unique bond, it was time for Pratik to declare his love for Keshina. “He had feelings for me from day one so he proposed to me on a college confession page, but I couldn’t identify who it was, so I ignored it. Then, a year into our friendship, we were on an Activa in a market and looking into the mirror, he proposed. I was speechless and nervous! He asked me to take my time but I knew in my heart that it was going to be a yes!”
Keshina firmly believes that the love she and Pratik share is truly one-of-a-kind. “He has the most peaceful vibe around him. He’s the only one who can handle my tantrums and mood swings. His patience is the key to my heart! We are equal partners who agree on goals together and work as a team to achieve these goals. We both show equal commitment to the relationship and provide mutual support and nurturing. And that’s what brings balance, and is our point of connection. That’s what makes what we share so special and unique. I think platinum love bands are perfect for us as they stand for rare love. These platinum love bands are symbolic of the bond I share with him. Precious, rare and enduring.”
Crafted using one of the most precious of metals on earth, Platinum is the perfect testament to their lasting love.
Keshina and Pratik head down the promenade for a long walk together.
Days come and go, seasons change, but real love endures the calm and stormy seas.
Keshina looks at Pratik and thinks to herself: He is never going to guess what I have planned!
She holds his hand tighter this time and stops, with a smile on her face and a few seconds of silence, until she expresses her love for him.
He says ‘yes’.
Pratik: And I promise to never let you go.
He takes her on a piggyback ride grinning – something she may not be able to do for him!
An eternal romance deserves platinum.
