Lakmé Beauty Trend: Halo Eyes

Halo or spotlight eyes are a trend almost every makeup artist swears by. This technique highlights the center of the eyelids with a lighter colored eyeshadow, preferably with a hint of shimmer, which is sandwiched by contrasting colors on either side of the lids. This gorgeous eye look frames the eyes with a soft diffusion of color and leaves an ethereal effect.
Our Nizaami bride, Hanna Khan pulled off the halo eyes trend beautifully and it made a striking difference to her overall look. Makeup artist Richa Thakkar started with an eyeshadow primer to add a matte base. Next, she chose a muddy pink shade from the Lakme Absolute Illuminating Eye Shadow Palette in Nude Beach as the transition shade and followed it by blending the plum shade softly in circular motions near the inner and outer corners of her eyes. She finished the look by dabbing the peach shade from the same palette in the middle of her lids and added false eyelashes to dramatize her eyes.
