Luxe Engagement Decor at ITC Grand Chola by The A-Cube Project
Wedding Planning - Aug 29, 2018
When the Beatles sang, “I get by with a little help from my friends” maybe they were talking about friends who set you up with the person who is the love of your life. Even if it takes a whole lot of convincing first!
Varshini and Rohit had several mutual friends who were one hundred percent sure they’d be perfect for each other. Only, the two hadn’t even seen each other yet. “They’d developed faith in us as a couple even before we met!” Varshini laughs. And when they did meet, nothing significant happened. “Instead, what did develop was the foundation of a strong friendship between the two of us. We remained good friends for a long time and it was only after a few years that our relationship entered a romantic phase,” says Varshini.
But fall in love they did and we’re not sure if their friends went ‘I told you so’ but we do know that a grand engagement was planned. The couple called on WeddingSutra favorite The A-Cube Project to execute a dreamy celebration.
With the regal architecture and design of the ITC Grand Chola enhanced by The A-Cube Project’s excellent event design as backdrop, the revelries of the day were captured deftly by Stories by Joseph Radhik.
The decor at the function fused floral elements with chic mirrors and glass. The setup was everything one could have ever dreamed of. Varshini said, “We wanted a decadent, luxe look and feel. Along with the flowers, chandeliers and mirrors, a feature that we were particularly excited about was the ceiling full of falling wisteria which we had incorporated for added drama. The stage too was remarkable. We had mirrored pillars wrapped in blooms, a backdrop enveloped in flowers and warm lights casting a glow on everything.”
All of this beauty planned and executed by The A-Cube Project left their guests awestruck. But what truly stood out to Varshini was how easy yet satisfying it was to work with this team. She says, “I’ve known The A-Cube Project team but this was my first time working with them on a personal project. I just loved working and brainstorming with them. It was amazing to see how effortlessly they executed everything that was planned. As someone who was very particular about key decor elements like my florals and the overall ambiance, I was very impressed by their attention to detail. They worked really hard to turn my vision into reality and thanks to them, everything worked out beautifully.”
