Mahima and Bhavik’s Platinum Day of Love
Love Actually - Nov 4, 2019
Our initiative ‘Love Actually’ features engaged couples and captures beautiful moments between them. The series celebrates people in love as they start their lives together. Over a fabulous makeover and a photo shoot, we get these couples to tell us how they met, capture the rare connection they share and talk about their day of love.
Love is a collaborative work of art they say, and as Mahima and Bhavik glanced at the home decor pieces at Satugru’s, they dreamt up a masterpiece of a future together. In the aisles of the store, as they looked for home art, they found their Platinum Day of Love and the moments that they created, will forever remain to be the cornerstone of their bond.
Mahima and Bhavik got to know about each other through their families; however, he chose a different path from most and decided to meet her without her parents. “It was about one and a half year back that I heard about Mahima, but I didn’t like the idea of going to her house to meet her in a setup where formalities would be imposed on us. I wanted to see her for who she really was and above all I wanted her to be at ease,” said Bhavik. He reached out to her on Facebook and with that began their story.
The two of them forged their bond over the span of countless dates and a number of drives – the longest and most fulfilling of which was the one that they took from Bombay to Rajasthan! Mahima shares, “One-day Bhavik and I decided to drive to our native place. Besides long drives, we love trying different cuisines. Naturally, we ended up taking a whole bunch of pit stops to try out local specialties of every place we crossed which considerably lengthened the duration of our trip.” In this time that they spent together, they discovered each other’s distinctive personalities. While Bhavik was drawn to Mahima’s strong persona, she was charmed by his considerate attitude. She says, “All in all, this one happened to be quite a remarkable journey for both of us that irreversibly deepened our bond.” His considerate attitude and her strong persona drew them closer to each other. Bhavik added “This was the first time that we had been just with each other for such a long a stretch. There was something about this short vacation that took away all our inhibitions of being vulnerable in front of one another and cemented our connection like never before.”
Love is a journey and it has you falling for your partner a little more with each passing day and Mahima and Bhavik have indeed had a long ride. “When Bhavik and I first began talking, I wasn’t sure I was interested in him. However, as time passed I realized he was easily one of the kindest and most caring people I had ever come across.” She goes on to elaborate on how it’s the way that he makes her feel, which makes all the difference. “It’s the little things he does – like showing up at my friend’s party at 3 a.m. without even being asked to and dropping me home because the place was far away from where I stay, bringing me my favourite idlis under my building three times a week on his way home from his gym, making sure that he doesn’t end his day without speaking to me over a call even if it’s for just a few minutes – that lets me know that I am a priority for him.”
Mahima then gets candid about the way she feels about the connections that she and Bhavik share, “It’s the kind of love that one would want to honor and each time we have thought about the most fitting way to celebrate it, we have found ourselves gravitating towards commemorating it with Platinum Love Bands,” she says before elucidating on the thought. “One of the strongest and most precious metals used for crafting fine jewellery, it perfectly represents the strength of our relationship. In addition, they are elegant and understated which makes sure that it can be worn by us all the time regardless of the occasion or even lack thereof.”
Ready to start a life together Mahima and Bhavik decide to fill this new chapter with beauty and art.
Mahima: Let’s look for something that we can treasure forever!
Bhavik: Well that’s easy! I can see that ‘something’ sitting right beside me!
Dismissing the flattery Mahima along with Bhavik began her quest for something that represents their love!
Bhavik: How about this painting that shows all the colors you’ve filled my life with?
Mahima: Or maybe this piece that looks like the most recognized symbol of love – the Taj Mahal!
Just then Bhavik took Mahima by surprise and slipped a precious Platinum Love Band on her finger asking her to be his partner for life!
Bhavik: A miniature Taj is alright, but to celebrate something as precious as our love only something just as valuable will do!
And at that moment they promised to never let go of each other’s hands.
Mahima: I knew, I was great at rare finds the day I found you!
With their bond sealed by the strength of Platinum…
…They shaped memories that are sure to stand the test of time…
