Makeup Trends from Lakmé Fashion Week Winter Festive 2016
Bridal Fashion and Beauty - Sep 1, 2016
Lakmé Fashion Week Winter Festive 2016 was all about adding shimmer to the eyelids and keeping the rest of the face fresh and luminous. Bridal makeup trends have evolved into a subtle, minimalist art and there was plenty of inspiration at the Lakme Fashion Week.
Terracotta Accents
Donald Simrock, Lakmé Fashion Week Makeup Expert, for Anuradha Pegu added terracotta accents to the cheeks and eyes. He accented the inner corner of the eyes in copper with gold highlights while the lips were toned in an earthy matte.
Recreate this look: Use the new Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Eye shadow in French Rose to add a slight shimmer to the eyelids for a soft glow. Bring a warm luminosity to the cheeks with Lakmé Absolute Shimmer Brick in Coral.
The Undone Look
Natasha Nischol, Lakmé Fashion Week Makeup Expert, for Kallol Datta, kept it natural and minimal bringing drama to the catwalk with the stunning reverse-lip-pigment in auburn and gold tones.
Recreate this look: Get creative! Use the liquid gold Lakmé Absolute Shine Line on the lips. Play with shimmer on the eyes using theLakmé Absolute Illuminating Eye Shadow Palette in Gold.
The Bronzed Face
Natasha Nischol, Lakmé Fashion Week Makeup Expert, for Sanjay Garg, Raw Mango. Nischol channeled the origins of man when shecreated the ‘suggestion of the ape’, a powerful visage created by blocking the whole face from the eyebrows to the lips by keeping the face blank and then creating an ‘ape’ contour airbrushed onto the eye region.
Recreate this look: Use the new Lakmé Absolute Bronzer to create your own version of the bronzed face look. Bring shimmer with the Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Palette in Gold.
Metallic Hues
Donald Simrock, Lakmé Fashion Week Makeup Expert, for Gaurang, wanted to keep it fresh and distinctively ethnic. So he created astriking composite of traditional Indian looks that blended earthy colours piqued with metallic hues and the shimmer of the hot sun over the subcontinent.
Recreate this look: Start with the brown and golden hues with shimmer from the Lakme Absolute Illuminating Eye Shadow Palette in Gold. Recreate the definition on the lips with the darker shades of Lakmé Absolute Lip Shimmer in Chestnut Shimmer.
