Mumbai Society Girl to Marry in Mykonos, Greece

Farrah Mehta, grand-daughter of distinguished journalist late Russi Karanjia (of Blitz fame) is marrying Dubai businessman Sagar Shewakramani. And the destination wedding takes place this weekend in the sunny island of Mykonos in Greece. Farrah was born and brought up in Mumbai- her parents were well-known in Mumbai’s media and social circles, mother Rita Mehta was the Editor of Cine Blitz, and father late Karl Mehta was the Managing Director of the Blitz Group of Publications. The very charming and pleasant Farrah was a regular face in Mumbai’s exclusive party circuit till a few years ago, when she and her mother relocated to Dubai, where she continues to pursue a career in journalism and writing.
The wedding, according to one of the invitees is expected to be a big, though not hugely extravagant affair. Rita Mehta and the Shewakramanis have appointed a leading wedding management company from Mumbai to manage the three day celebrations. We guess pleasing the families and guests should be easy for the Wedding Planners here– after all the island’s cycladic charm and romantic settings are guaranteed to create the perfect backdrop for a celebration, and capture everyone’s hearts forever.
