My Best Friend’s Wedding – Decoding the Looks
Bridal Fashion and Beauty, Bridesmaids - Aug 16, 2016
When Amrita shared her delight at having her childhood friends as bridesmaids at her winter wedding in Kolkata this year, WeddingSutra decided to treat the dream team to a makeover, ensemble, to get them in the mood for the big day!
WeddingSutra Editors decode the looks Amrita and each of her bridesmaids rocked.
Bride-to-be Amrita’s Look
The bride, Amrita, was the centre of attention in a crimson raw silk bridal lehenga by KALKI Fashion. The lehenga is opulent with zari and pearl embroidery and set off with a matching net dupatta. Amrita accessorized with a 22K gold choker from Manubhai Jewellers, a stunning gold haath-phool and bangled studded with pink and green enamel work and set with diamonds. She picked a maangtikka from Manubhai that complemented the rest of her jewellery. Final touches included a rich, ceramic pearl box clutch by Be Chic and a pair of gold heels.

Bridesmaid Dipti’s Look
Dipti wore a flared lehenga in peach by KALKI Fashion. The net skirt features darker toned floral motifs as well as floral motifs in sequin embroidery. The waist is cinched with a playful, stylish sequined double-bow that matches the sequined choli that is also tied with a bow. Dipti accessorized this youthful, fresh look with a pair of intricately designed hoop earrings by Pookaari. She finished with effortless style in a pair of gold wedges.

Bridesmaid Maahi’s Look
Maahi looked divine in a draped georgette gown in subtle peach by KALKI Fashion. The butti design with an embellished bodice was accessorized with a pair of earrings studded with kundan stones, American diamonds and pearls in an antique finish. A statement structured, contrasting clutch with delicate embellishments from Be Chic was the cherry on top.
Bridesmaid Trupti’s Look
Trupti twirled in a baby pink lehenga by KALKI Fashion. Adorned with pearl and kundan work, the attached cape brought a delicate fluidity to the look. The movement was accentuated by a beautiful pair of jhumkas curated by Pookaari crafted with black kundan stones, antique finished American diamonds and pearls set in gold plated metal. A milk-chocolate box clutch by Be Chic, sparkling with sequins and floral embellishments in gold foil made the outfit perfect.
