Naman and Nehaa’s Platinum Day of Love
Love Actually, Pre Wedding Photoshoots, Precious Platinum - Nov 13, 2017
Our initiative ‘Love Actually’ is a photo series featuring engaged couples who actively seek ideas and inspiration from WeddingSutra. The series celebrates the beautiful people in love, as they start their lives together. Because real love can only begin, never end. Over coffee, a makeover and a photo shoot we get to-be-weds to tell us how they met, show us their platinum love bands and talk about their day of love.
Television actor Naman Shaw of Kasamh Se fame and his soon-to-be-wife Nehaa Mishra celebrated their love with platinum at the chic and contemporary Jade Garden in Worli, Mumbai. The couple exuded elegant style, adorned in their exquisite love bands. Nehaa’s hair and make up were by Vrinda Makhija. The photographers, Happyframes, captured the couple making new memories as Naman shares some memories of their own.
Everyone knows that one pair of besties who, to the world, seem perfect for each other but they insist on staying friends. Until one day, they realise they’re in love and decide to tie the knot. Nehaa, a writer-producer, and Naman fit right into that category.
They met about 8 years ago when Naman was working on a show in which Nehaa had a cameo. In an attempt to break the ice, Naman interacted with Nehaa on set, offering her something to eat. It was a short trip to being good friends after that. Naman says, “Our story was much like that of ‘Rahul’ and ‘Anjali’ from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. She was like family. I’d hang out with her siblings. She was my best friend and always looked out for me while I was on the lookout for ‘Tina’. I didn’t realize it was this very best friend who was destined to be mine all these years.”
It was only six months ago that the couple finally confessed they were in love with each other, Naman says, “We have a very good understanding and the bond we share is very special. We just knew we were meant to be together.”
Talking about the wedding proposal, Naman, who was last seen in Tashan-e-Ishq, admits it was slightly clumsy, “I’m not very good at expressing my feelings, especially because she’s my best friend so yes, it was quite an awkward proposal. I remember after a long, tiring day, we were sitting in the car and I gradually started talking and popped the question. Of course, she thought it was the most boring way to pop the question but she was more than happy that day.”
With the wedding just around the corner, the platinum bands were a wonderful reminder of their past and a promise for the future. “When friendship precedes love, you know this is more than a warm fuzzy feeling. There is a shared strength in our relationship. We have chosen to spend out lives together, and this marriage is built on the foundation of a deep, true friendship. There isn’t a better way to symbolize the resilience of our bond than these Platinum Love Bands.”
The couple is making sure to take time out to enjoy every moment together even amid the wedding frenzy. Still friends, they’re planning, co-ordinating and anticipating a future are life partners.
We wish them all the love, luck and a lifetime of happy memories together.
