Pharma giant Dr.Reddy’s Shravya Reddy celebrated her wedding with Sharan Reddy of the Ramky Group with a series of extravagant pre-wedding celebrations!

Crafted with equal parts of grandeur and elegance, Shravya Reddy, daughter of Hyderabad-based Deepti and Satish Reddy of the well-established pharmaceutical empire Dr Reddy’s and Sharan Reddy of the Ramky Group’s pre-wedding celebrations in Muscat, Oman was breathtaking. Planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – Purple Tree Event Solutions, these festivities were jaw-droppingly beautiful.
Nafisa Sheikh from Purple Tree Event Solutions shares, “The couple hails from prominent families and hence the event had a huge guest list for which everything had to be perfect. After the engagement whose guest list featured more than a thousand individuals, the couple wanted to host a pre-wedding celebration since their wedding was also going to be a hectic one with a long list of guests.”
Sharing how they decided on the venue and the hard work that went behind orchestrating the celebrations, Nafisa goes on to share, “The wedding was hosted at Shangri-La in Muscat. The mother of the bride had previously attended a wedding at the same venue and was quite impressed by it. The hotel is actually a set of three interconnected hotels put together with three different personalities. Al Husn has 180 guestrooms and is an exclusive hotel for adults with its own private beach. Plus, its rooms are one of the largest in the city which led us to keep this venue for the family and their close friends. The second wing was Barr Al Jissah which overlooked a beautiful beachfront and is the heart of the resort. A wide array of amenities from water sports to a lazy river, a secluded spa and diverse dining options made it apt for the youngsters to enjoy themselves and their privacy. The third wing was Al Waha in which we placed the vendors and the artists.
The celebrations commenced with an Omani flea market-inspired Welcome Lunch that everyone enjoyed thoroughly as they took generous helpings of the scrumptious spread. This was then followed by an extravagant ring exchange on the famous Turtle Beach. The after-party of this event was ‘Speakeasy’ themed and everyone had a blast as they partied till the wee hours of the morning.
The second day of the festivities began with a lazy ‘Boozy Brunch’ where everyone rejuvenated themselves after the rigorous celebrations of the night before after which the guests were free to go sightseeing. Later, however, an all-white sundowner beach party was hosted on the lawns neighbouring the beach from where one could feast their eyes on the stunning Gulf of Oman. And, I must say, it was an exquisite view with the white tents contrasting against the foamy, blue sea waves. The night was called to an end with a Gala Dinner that had a long entertainment lineup and an after party that went on till it was checkout time!”
Planning an event of this magnitude on foreign shores is not an easy feat as Nafisa goes on to share, “The planning was challenging but extremely interesting and rewarding post-event. With our team in Goa, the client in Hyderabad and the event being held in Muscat – we had to work tirelessly to ensure that the client was happy with the planning, management and arrangements. This meant doing a lot of research, detailed messages and emails being sent out to all suppliers, artists and vendors along with an equally detailed guest list management process. With recce trips being planned to the minute to extremely detailed meetings and checklists, we did it all. For example, the guest rooms were allocated based on multiple criteria, like, the view from individual rooms, floor preference, bed preference, the proximity of rooms to lifts, interiors of the room, type of bed in the room, etc. Each guest was assigned a room with these factors in mind to ensure that their stay was as comfortable as possible and on the way, we ensured that all the finer details were in place.
Despite the challenges and the long slew of tasks, the experience was a good one with an efficient local support team and a highly cooperative logistics team who helped us with the movement of material into the country, customs, ground logistics and the processing of visas etc.”
