Pops of pink, red and lush floral setups made this couple’s home-based Roka ceremony a lively one!
Wedding Planning - Nov 21, 2025
USA-based Mehrvaan and Amitoj’s wedding celebrations unfolded with an intimacy and warmth which paid homage to family, home, and heartfelt rituals. Designed and executed by WeddingSutra Favorite – Tzirres, the celebrations reflected the studio’s signature finesse, transforming familiar spaces into atmospheres filled with charm, colour, and emotion.

“We’ve known Mehrvaan since we designed her 16th birthday,” shares Tejveen Kaur of Tzirres. “I still remember her telling me, ‘You will do my wedding.’ I didn’t imagine that ten years later, it would actually come true.” Although the couple had already had a court wedding in the USA, they returned to India to honour the traditions closest to their hearts with a warm, home-based Roka ceremony followed by a joyful Haldi ceremony. The brief from day one was simple yet meaningful: intimate, homely, and pretty. With both families rooted in Delhi and Ludhiana, the celebrations brought everyone together under one roof in Delhi, where Tzirres reimagined the bride’s family home into a haven of love and beauty.

For the Roka, the décor embraced freshness with a lively yet soothing palette. Tables adorned with tropical-inspired centrepieces, lemons, lush greens, and pops of red bougainvillaea created a cheerful outdoor ambience. Inside, floral clusters in pinks, mauves, and lilacs added a romantic softness. Vintage birdcages, cascading beads, and pastel blooms layered the interiors with a whimsical, feminine charm. “The idea was to make the house feel dressed, but not transformed,” says Tejveen. “We wanted guests to feel like they had walked into a celebration, not a setup.”

For the Haldi, Tzirres crafted a sun-soaked setting brimming with joy. A vibrant marigold-yellow palette, including sunflowers, chrysanthemums, baskets of lemons, and overflowing greens, brought the courtyard alive. Yellow upholstered stools, marigold-dusted flooring, and rustic accents created a playful, almost a ‘Mediterranean-meets-Indian’ haldi nook. Earthy elements like coconuts filled with marigolds and wild foliage added a refreshing organic touch. “Haldi is all about happiness and laughter, and I wanted the space to echo that energy,” Tejveen adds. “Everything had to feel effortless.”
