Pratheeksha and Gokul’s Platinum Day of Love

Our initiative ‘Love Actually’ is a photo series featuring engaged couples who actively seek ideas and inspiration from WeddingSutra. The series celebrates the beautiful people in love as they start their lives together. Because real love can only begin, never end. Over coffee, a makeover and a photo shoot we get to-be-weds to tell us how they met, show us their platinum love bands and talk about their day of love.
Pratheeksha and Gokul celebrated their love with platinum at The Tamarind Tree in Bangalore. The couple exuded stylish elegance in gorgeous jewellery and exquisite platinum love bands from ORRA Jewellery. Pratheeksha looked resplendent in stunning makeup by Shwetha Raju. While Pratheeksha shared her love story with us, photographers from Journeys by Ram framed candid shots that captured memories that Pratheeksha and Gokul will cherish forever.
Pratheeksha and Gokul didn’t intend to fall in love and needed a lot of coaxing from their parents to even agree to meet. Pratheeksha says, “When we finally agreed to meet, Gokul flew into Bangalore from Dubai and we didn’t have much to say to each other.” However, a week later, they got in touch again and sparks flew. There were no more awkward silences and they realized they connected perfectly and even had a lot of common interests.
Pratheeksha says she was very clear about how she wanted to go about getting to know Gokul and it helped, “Throughout our initial conversations, I kept emphasizing on wanting to meet him and getting to know him better in person. He really valued that and instantly decided to come back and meet me over the weekend. I think that was the moment I realized he really cared. The more we spoke, the more comfortable we became, the more we started understanding each other and today, here we are. On the last day of his stay in Bangalore, I proposed to him and he was really blown away with the surprise.”
With the wedding in November, the platinum bands on their fingers were a wonderful reminder of the strength of their love. The bride-to-be says, “I know what Gokul and I share is rare and very special to us. And expressing it any other way, would just not do justice to what he means to me, he means a world! It had to be platinum!
