A Pre-Wedding Shoot in India’s Cultural Paradise, Jodhpur

Nestled amongst majestic sand dunes, royal palaces and historic forts, the city of Jodhpur epitomizes grandeur and elegance. With WeddingSutra Favorite – Amit Photography by their side, Megan and Manish flew to the culturally rich paradise for a pre-wedding shoot.
The couple shared some stunning photos of the shoot as well as interesting highlights of their experience.
How We Met
“Megan and I share a story that will make you believe in serendipity. While she had been living in Singapore for six years, I had just moved back from France. One cheerful evening, as we both went about with our daily routines, we bumped into love! After the brief meeting, we bonded over dinner later that week and also stayed in touch during the Christmas holidays when she was in Canada. As our conversations grew from minutes to hours, our relationship was bolstered as well!” says Manish.
The Proposal
After months of togetherness, Manish planned an awe-inspiring proposal for Megan during her birthday celebration in December. Under the night sky, at a beautiful rooftop bar that overlooks the Singapore skyline, he popped the question as tunes of “All I Want for Christmas is You” by Mariah Carey played in the background! Well, we’re sure he was good that year for he was blessed with a lifetime love!
Pre-wedding Shoot
Bride-to-be Megan says, “We wished for a fun, romantic and unique shoot, and to help us with that, Manish struggled to find the right photographer until he came across Amit’s work! His skill and unmatched artistic vision amazed us the most. Both Manish and Amit decided upon the culturally rich city of Jodhpur as the location for our shoot. And while they handled the logistics, I was in charge of the styling! Our wardrobe for the shoot included both ballroom formal and Indian attires for which, we rented outfits from Flyrobe. While the entire experience was amazing, the biggest challenge we faced was climbing the streets of The Blue City! However, with pristine sands, clear skies, and glorious heritage, the city sure did make for a stunning backdrop. We enjoyed the camel safari and got some remarkable shots during that as well! Further, I believe things wouldn’t be as great without Amit, keeping in mind the vision which we had which Manish and I aligned with his fantastic array of ideas.”
