Pre Wedding Theme Inspiration

If you see a beaming couple, pulling each other near Gateway of India or animatedly enacting a proposal in a heritage fort, do not mistake it for a movie poster shoot. In the run up to the wedding, couples are letting their hair down for pre wedding shoots, which are now a serious business. Showcasing the work of 5 fine contemporary photographers and their theme based couple shoots.
Theme ‘Mumbai’

Anooj and Ashwini’s pre-wedding shoot took place@ all the famous landmarks in South Mumbai. Says Romesh, “Anooj and Ashwini are based in Canada. They wanted to capture the essence of South Mumbai in their pre-wedding shoot so keeping the theme in mind I shot with the couple at places like Gateway of India, Leopold Café (Colaba Causeway) and Kala ghoda.”
Theme ‘By the Beach’

Vanessa and Wilfred went for the pre-wedding shoot to a beach in Vasai. They wanted to send their natural yet beautifully shot ‘in love’ pictures along with their invitation cards. So Clyde made the day memorable by letting them enjoy by the beach and capturing some stunning romantic shots.
Theme ‘Chennai love story’

So through their pre-wedding shoot, I tried to recreate the magic of those beautiful years they spent in the city. What was specially fun was capturing them at spots which they then frequented to avoid bumping into people they know.”

Rushikesh says, “Harini is from Hyderbad and Karthik grew up in US with roots in the Nizami city. Both wanted their pre-wedding shoot to happen in Hyderabad as they can relate to the city. The idea behind the shoot was to entwine their love story with the grandeur of Nizami architecture.”
Theme ‘Romance in Chandigarh’
