Prerana and Jatin’s Stunning Pre-Wedding Shoot at Taj Lands End, Mumbai

Childhood sweethearts, Prerana and Jatin are the classic case of opposites attracting. He, the naughtiest kid in class, she, Ms Goody-Two-Shoes.
When they grew up, every time they crossed the iconic Bandra-Worli Sea Link with its view of the Taj Lands End, Prerana would wonder what the view from the 25th floor of the hotel would be.
So Jatin decided to show his future bride exactly what that view would be and show her the endless horizon as well when he proposed on the 25th floor! That wasn’t all. He also organized a shoot to capture the moment and The Storyteller’s vision of this couple is beautiful and intimate.
Here, they share their journey of love and some interesting highlights from the fun shoot.
How we met
In school, Jatin was the notoriously mischievous kid and Prerana was Miss Goody-two-shoes. “We first met each other 15 years ago in class, wearing school uniforms. He was the most notorious kid and she was an obsessive nerd. And look where we are today – inseparable, indestructible and totally in love. 15 years of love is the kind of love worth fighting for,” Prerana says.
The Proposal and Pre-Wedding Shoot
She talks about crossing the sea link and wondering about the view and grins, “I knew he would plan the proposal there but he always has a knack of outdoing himself. I never expected to walk in to the hotel with this lovely message on a black board, pouring his heart out to me. It was a perfect sunset with the perfect setting- a playlist of my favorite songs, flowers all around, candles, everything that spells romance. I couldn’t bear to see him go on his knee, I just wanted to be in his arms. And when he made me wear the ring, it felt like a victory after 15 years. Everything happened in minutes but it felt like a lifetime of happiness already.”
The floral arrangements were done by Rohan Agarwal but the conceptualization, setup and else everything was all Jatin. He saw the candles in the hotel lobby and requested the manager to let him use those for décor. The hotel staff was very helpful and they said that this was their best proposal so far! And that’s how a naughty kid and a super nerd end up happily ever after.
