Pretty blooms and chic Parisian touches had this engagement looking breathtaking.
Wedding Planning - Oct 11, 2019
There is something about lush, green settings that makes one want to believe in magic and fairytales. Hosting a milestone occasion under a canopy of leaves, surrounded by the dense foliage and flowers, is captivating and whimsical.
Inspired by the ‘Surreal Forest’ theme of the event, WeddingSutra Favorite – The A-Cube Project designed an engagement that was resplendent with verdant and vibrant details.
The engagement was held at the ITC Grand Chola, Chennai. A tribute to the powerful Chola dynasty, the property offers grand architecture and stunning venues.
The engagement setting included a beautiful glasshouse in the pre-function area whose every nook was covered with pretty flowers and lush ferns. Upon its chequered floors, the teams placed quaint Parisian elements such as a wooden cart with potted plants, a signage that read ‘Panier de Fleur,’ along with chairs, tables and benches evocative of cozy cafes in the ‘City of Love.’
To enhance the quirky and whimsical vibe, A Cube Project also placed candles, an old-school typewriter, and a fountain overflowing with greens around the venue, alongside baskets filled with flowers that were suspended from the roof. All of this was bathed in the glow cast by the bistro lights and chandeliers which added a touch of sophistication.
As the guests made their way to the entrance of the ballroom, they were greeted by a pretty signboard that displayed the couple’s names. The ceiling was bright with lights that cast a golden glow. A distinctive rose gold mirror pathway in the center of the venue led the bride to the grand stage. The backdrop comprised of a colossal wall of red and white flowers behind which a gilded arch arose to create a wonderful intersecting pattern.
The arch stood in front of a golden wall, and above it, bunches of baby’s breaths’ blooms were fashioned to look like soft clouds. Pretty birds flapping wings hovered in the ‘clouds, and right below, the couple exchanged rings in a truly magical setting.
