A Rainforest Themed Engagement at Taj Green Cove Resort & Spa

Warm earth tones, cool natural greens, a breathtaking backdrop of glowing light and a delectable love story – these were the ingredients that made for a spellbinding engagement at the luxurious Taj Green Cove Resort & Spa, Kovalam.
Nestled in the lap of Kovalam’s pristine beachfront, the resort is luxury redefined. WeddingSutra Favorite Rainmaker Events and Entertainment meticulously planned Sibi and Vishnu’s engagement and we simply can’t stop swooning over the luxuriant rainforest décor and the way these stylish to-be-weds look at each other.
Sibi shares their journey of love and some highlights from this gorgeous engagement.
The Love Story
Sibi explains, “When my parents and I began looking, Vishnu’s was the first proposal we received. At that point though, I wasn’t sure if saying a ‘Yes’ was the right thing. A year later, he reached out to me once again on a matrimonial website. This time, I decided to give us a shot. A month after keeping in touch we met in Dubai, and that’s when the deal was sealed. We knew we were the right ones for each other and soon the date for our wedding was fixed!”
The Dreamy Engagement
“The stage for this function had a floral theme with a crescent moon for the bride and groom to sit on. The entrance was under a rustic, floral arch made with rose petals, candles. Strings of lights lit up the pathway that led to the main entrance marked with an ‘S’ and ‘V’. Our rustic wooden tables were scattered with rose petal arrangements in the dining areas.
Our engagement was planned and executed by Rainmaker Events and Entertainment, a wedding planning company based out of Kochi, Kerala. Team Wedding Cinemas took care of the photography. My makeup artist for the engagement was Renju Renjimar who is very popular for her work even amongst actresses in the film industry. Rajasthan Jewellers in Trivandrum crafted my engagement Polki jewellery.
It was really a fairytale moment for me as the pictures came out well and perfectly captured my Anita Dongre outfit and the rain forest themed venue!”
