A luxury brand from stunning Austria, a global leader in cut crystal for over a century, Swarovski is getting ready to bedazzle the wedding industry and let the Indian bride play with light and sparkle on the most important day in her life.
Ever the pioneers, Swarovski presented new thoughts and luxe ideas at a first-of-its-kind wedding within the royal halls of the Taj Falaknuma Palace, Hyderabad. Conjuring up an inventive magic, the brand showcased original concepts in décor and embellishment to launch its journey into the imagination of the Indian woman, in love.
Swarovski works closely with the finest wedding planners and decorators across the country, to execute the ultimate in luxury wedding concepts and solutions for a truly one of a kind wedding.
Here, a team of expert professionals from the event and design industry, helmed by Swarovski India’s professional division worked in tandem with Vinod Bhandari of Wedding Extraordinaire, handling more than 1.3 million crystals which elevated the wedding décor and venue into a glittering setting for a storybook wedding. The crystals ranged from the simple hotfix and beads to more complex flower pins and crystal strings. We present some of the décor highlights guaranteed to enhance the bridal twinkle in your eye.
1. Say it with flowers and stars
A wall, twelve feet wide and ten feet high was created using hundreds of the deepest red roses and Swarovski crystals. Approximately five hundred heart and circular flower pins were set amongst the blooms to create the couple’s initials (A and N) and create a gorgeous backdrop for this opulent ceremony.
2. Sacred fires and a glittering mandap
Brides can imagine sitting within a mandap set alive by the light caught and deflected by 150 Swarovski crystal strands comprising of crystal beads and pearl drop tassles hung along the periphery of the mandap ceiling. The sparks and colour of the sacred fire reflected in no less than 57,000 flat back crystals as they formed petals on a velvet fabric base. The play of light was further enhanced by four grand peacocks, one on each corner of the mandap, highlighted with flower pins and white florals.
3. Fit for a princess and her beloved
The stage was set, 36 feet wide, 12 feet high and alive with the gleam and glinting of 5000 Swarovski flower pins creating a crystal encrusted floral backdrop for the beautiful bride and her groom.
4. A walk in a star studded galaxy
If marriages are made in heaven, then the walkway leading to the wedding was truly an otherworldly experience with a chequered panel, brimming with Swarovski crystals, set off beautifully by LED lights.
