Ri Ritu Kumar, the bespoke label by Ritu Kumar launches the Festive Winter 2015 Collection with a series of quirky videos. These look like trailers for a film which revolves around the wedding shenanigans of the women within the family. With the stunning Sujan Singh Palace in Jaipur as the backdrop and a dash of melodrama and entertainment along with different dynamics at play among the ensemble cast of characters, the story takes us behind the scenes of the # Big Bright Indian Family getting together for a grand wedding celebration. It is testimony to the great repertoire of the Ritu Kumar design house – which is worn by all ages of Indian women and is a reflection of our generational heritage.
Featuring Pooja Mor, the New York sensation as the blushing yet bemused bride, ace fashion choreographer Vidyun Singh as the melodramatic mother of the bride, a special appearance by supermodel Simar Duggal as the doting mother of the groom, and Mariette Valsan, a bright new face on the fashion radar as the young sister and bunch of chirpy friends and family, the stories brings alive the vibrance and grandeur of a ‘Ritu Kumar’ style wedding.
