Blending heritage, devotion and grand artistic vision, this extraordinary Mumbai wedding unfolded as a breathtaking homage to Mangalorean temple architecture. Hosted to celebrate the union of Vaishnav Shetty, son of logistics magnate Mr Shashi Kiran Shetty (Founder & Chairman, Allcargo Group), and his bride Sonali, the celebration was brought to life by WeddingSutra Favorite- DreamzKrraft, who transformed centuries-old design traditions into a majestic contemporary experience. Carved pillars, red-tiled roofs, towering gopurams and the unmistakable fragrance of Mangalore Mallige shaped an atmosphere that felt both sacred and spectacular from the very first glance.
This vision came to life with exceptional craftsmanship, recreating an entire Mangalorean temple complex within the hotel’s expansive grounds. “The family wanted a world that felt sacred yet spectacular, something deeply rooted in their heritage,” shares Priti Sidhwani from DreamzKrraft, “and our team poured heart and precision into every detail to honour that sentiment.” Over 100,000 square feet of immersive design were executed in under three weeks with a workforce of more than 5,000 artisans and technicians. The result was astounding, with over 250 intricately carved pillars, sweeping arches, a striking 12ft Ganesha idol and a visual language shaped with the finesse of a celebrated Bollywood set designer.
At the heart of this monumental creation was a mother’s dream. Mrs Arathi Shetty had long envisioned her son’s wedding set within a temple-inspired environment, and this décor brought her vision to life in a way that felt sacred, authentic and emotionally resonant. Every design detail honoured her sentiment, creating an atmosphere steeped in cultural pride and spiritual warmth.
The guest experience unfolded across multiple layers of this recreated world. The mandap seamlessly extended into a charming Mangalorean street and further opened into an elegant glasshouse, blending tradition with contemporary elegance. Jasmine-laden pathways, the sound of temple bells, and live devotional renditions by Shankar Mahadevan elevated the ambience into one of pure divinity. Traditional performances ranging from nadaswaram, tutari and dhol. Culinary artistry played an equally integral role with a thoughtfully curated menu by celebrity chef Ritu Dalmia, ensuring that guests savoured flavours as rich and soulful as the surroundings themselves.
