A backpacking themed pre-wedding photo shoot that got us putting our hiking shoes on!
Pre Wedding Photoshoots - May 31, 2019
Prachi and Sahil were in the same school as kids, but Cupid’s arrow found its mark much later! The adventurous duo picked a travel theme for their unique pre-wedding photo shoot which was done by WeddingSutra Favorite – ShutterDown. Here, Prachi shares some highlights.
How They Met
“Sahil and I were classmates, and while we did have a common set of friends, we barely spoke to each other as teenagers. In 2015, after our post-graduation, we happened to meet again when our group reunited on my birthday, and from then on, we became almost inseparable.”
Pre-wedding Photo
“The way we planned our pre-wedding photo shoot was quite unique! Sahil and I are very camera conscious and never in our wildest dreams would have thought of doing something like this. Although a photo shoot was the last thing on our minds, our parents managed to push us into it and it was one of the most interesting experiences we’ve ever had!”
“Once we fixed a shoot date, we began looking for ideas. We wanted the photographs to reflect our true personalities instead of looking like another run-of-the-mill series of romantic pictures. Thus began our quest for a theme that would define us and we settled on a backpacking theme. The two of us are very fond of traveling and going off the beaten path; so, in the images, we wanted to look like comfortable travelers who are on a mission to explore the world together.”
“To turn our theme into beautiful photographs, we hired ShutterDown, and the decision to work with their team was one of the best we have ever taken. They’re a powerhouse of talent who take the effort of knowing their clients and understanding their requirements. Working with them gave us a chance to explore something new, which was far beyond our comfort zone – we even shot pictures in which I was wearing a gown with a backpack and sneakers! It was the team’s supportive attitude that eased us into the whole process.”
