Sanjana and Akash’s Platinum Day of Love

Our initiative ‘Love Actually’ is a photo series featuring couples who actively seek ideas and inspiration from WeddingSutra. The series celebrates beautiful people as they start their lives together: because real love is timeless.
After Akash had been coaxed into meeting eligible girls, Sanjana was the first girl he met. “We met in a typical arranged marriage fashion, through our parents,” Sanjana says. The couple met a couple of time further and realized they’d connected at a spiritual level. They instantly decided to tie the knot.
It all happened so quickly that Sanjana vividly remembers feeling a little disoriented about the whole scenario. “I immediately called him to ask if this was real, and he patiently kept assuring me that it was, that we were about to get married,” she smiles.
In addition to their shared interests, the couple believes their mutual respect for each other helps grow their relationship. The bride-to-be says, “We are complete opposites and surprisingly, that is one of the greatest reasons we work. He’s a romantic and an extrovert while I like to keep to myself, but there has never been a day where we have gone without speaking to each other. Our courtship has had its ups and downs and we’ve made it through.”
Eight months into their relationship, the couple are now busy planning a wedding in a few months. Sanjana says she’s an organizing whiz while Akash is superb with execution so, as they’ve found out in other areas as well, they’re well matched to complement each other.
Their pre-wedding shoot shoot was done by ace Candid Photographer Payal Kumar who beautifully captured their special moments. The location for the shoot was the expansive lawns of the Jade Garden in Worli and provided a welcome break for the two working professionals. The newly reopened luxurious property, spread over five spaces includes three indoor banquets, a spacious pre-function area and a beautiful open terrace venue which acted as a perfect setting for this romantic shoot. With hair and makeup by Jean Claude Biguine, the couple looked like stars with stars in their eyes!
Making the most of the serene surroundings, the couple stood hand-in-hand wearing their exquisite platinum love bands by Gehna Jewellers. Sanjana loved the bands, “They’re such a perfect symbol of love! I really can’t thank WeddingSutra enough for such a wonderful experience!”
