Serene, close-knit yet fun – this wedding planner bride-to-be’s Roka ceremony basked in sunshine and joy!
Wedding Planning - Aug 19, 2025
Krunali Gokani, a wedding planner and Saurabh Mehta’s roka ceremony unfolded as a warm, intimate celebration, lovingly planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – The Wedding Corp, a company Krunali herself co-founded. It was a uniquely special occasion for the bride-to-be, as she found herself on the other side of the planning process, watching her vision unfold with effortless ease.

Their story, which began through an arranged marriage, had quickly blossomed into something deeply personal. “The turning point for us,” Krunali recalls, “was when I flew to Dubai for a trip, and our usual constant conversations slowed. Saurabh told me later that he realised something was missing, and that missing piece was me.” When she landed back at Mumbai’s T2, he was waiting for her, and from that moment, the course was set.

“It felt surreal,” Krunali shares with a smile. “I’m usually orchestrating weddings for others, but this time, I was the one soaking in every moment while my team worked their magic.” The celebration captured the cosy charm the couple envisioned, a gathering that was heartfelt rather than grand, where traditions of the ‘Goldhana’ (a Gujarati pre-wedding ceremony where jaggery and coriander seed are given to guests to signify the beginning of wedding festivities) were followed with sincerity, yet the mood remained light and easy. Loved ones mingled over soft laughter and shared stories, while Krunali and Saurabh moved through the crowd with natural ease, exchanging warm hugs and quick conversations between rituals. The décor mirrored the mood — understated yet elegant, lending a subtle glow without overpowering its intimacy. For the couple, the roka wasn’t about grandeur but about creating a space that felt like them, a blend of Krunali’s expressive, spontaneous energy and Saurabh’s grounded, quietly affectionate presence.
