Set against the myriad moods of Mumbai, this couple’s pre-wedding photoshoot captured the fairytale in their everyday love!

They say every once in a while, life gives you a fairytale. Shradha and Raj Munot however would beg to differ, as their love has spun a fairytale every day of their 3 years together. They celebrated their wedding in 2019 with a unique photoshoot capturing the unfiltered moments of love and joy they felt as they explored the diverse flavors and bustle of Mumbai city. Shot by Happily Ever After Weddings, these adorable photos are sure to stir the romantic in you!
An introvert at heart, Online Marketing Professional and Real estate Developer Raj found his perfect ‘other half’ in the ever-exuberant Shradha, a Financial Advisor and Educator hailing from Belgaum. Poles apart by nature but bonded by their heart, they decided to immortalize their natural chemistry with a one-of-a-kind pre-wedding photoshoot and film that would capture the love of their normal, daily life rather than movie-like portrayals.
Raj shares, “We wanted the video and pictures to be unique and special, while also being relatable and believable to whosoever sees it. We asked ourselves – Would we normally behave, walk and talk like this in our daily lives if not for being photographed? Answering this helped us come up with the concept for the shoot. From choosing our outfits to the locations we explored and activities we did, we stayed true to ourselves, and as a result managed to capture the essence of our relationship in the most beautiful and candid way.”
Framed against iconic South-Mumbai locations, the video follows their raw interactions as they spend a relaxed day of fun. From Bollywood-inspired nostalgia of running down the steps of the Asiatic Library and feeding pigeons at The Gateway of India, to quintessential tourist-worthy activities like eating at the famous Cafe Mondegar and riding the ferry, their tender moments of love tug at your heart-strings. In a world of larger-than-life romantic aspirations, simple shots of them crossing the road while holding hands, relishing street food and enjoying the breeze at Marine Drive weave a love story we all desire.
Reminiscing about the experience of their shoot, they share, “It was the most effortless and fun experience, as we just enjoyed a day out in the city while our photographers captured our candid moments. We are so grateful to their photography and videography teams for embracing our vision and following through so beautifully. In fact, not choreographing the shoot at all allowed them to unleash their creativity and truly run with it. We feel they did an outstanding job at capturing the moments both through videos and photos. We do hope that this sets a new precedent for pre-wedding shoots in the future”.
