Shweta Bachchan’s Favourite Festive Picks From Kalyan Jewellers
Wedding Planning, WeddingSutra Favorites - Nov 8, 2018
Weddings in India are auspicious occasions where each aspect is rooted in rich tradition. With a deep understanding of the sentimental and cultural significance of a wedding, Kalyan Jewellers, one of India’s largest jewellery brands, has designed a collection that caters to brides from all over the country.
Christened ‘Muhurat’, the range has not only been well received by the brand’s patrons but has also got an approving nod from Shweta Bachchan herself.
In a vast country like India, there are different bridal customs and traditions in the diverse states. However, regardless of the region, an Indian bride is all about beauty, pride, and elegance. Keeping in line with this philosophy, the ornaments from this collection skilfully represent the heritage, culture, and diversity of India, as well as embrace the importance of every ‘Muhurat’ in each part of the country.
Shweta Bachchan, who recently launched her own fashion label, expressed her views on the pieces and spoke about her favorite necklace from this collection. “I have a beautiful necklace that I bought from Kalyan Jewellers and I want to wear it all the time. My mum says ‘people will think you don’t have anything except this!’ but it’s just so stunning; and with that, I feel like I don’t need to wear much.” She also gave brides useful bling advice for that classy look – ” You can wear just one beautiful statement piece like this or opt for a few bangles, a ring, and even a maang tikka.”
During the conversation, Shweta also shared that she prefers simple and beautiful jewellery pieces. She showcased the earrings by Kalyan Jewellers that she was wearing as an example of how pleasing colors, as well as comfort, were both very important to her. Signing off, she said, “When buying jewellery I suggest buying something that is long lasting, offers value for money and is something that you can keep for years and years and then pass onto the next generation.”
