Love puts you on top of the world and that’s exactly what Ashutosh and Bharti’s romantic pre-wedding shoot in Ladakh did!
Ladakh’s vistas – its sparkling lakes, snow capped mountains, patches of green, bright skies, crisp air and incredible terrain – are a sight for sore eyes. It is an otherworldly paradise, exotic, severe and serene.
Captivated by its splendors, Ashutosh and Bharti decided to have their pre-wedding shoot there. WeddingSutra Favorite – Sunny Dhiman Photography‘s talented team managed to capture their romance against the beautiful backdrops of this destination. Bharti tells us all about it.
How we met
“I’d finished my education and was just living with my family in Patiala, making plans for the future,” Bharti says, “Both Ashutosh and I had our profiles upon matrimonial sites. We have friends in common and they told Ashutosh to have a look at my profile.” But their families jumped the gun. “They thought we’d be perfect for each other too,” Bharti grins, “So they fixed a meeting and that was the turning point. Taking a huge decision like deciding to spend the rest of your life with someone who is practically a stranger definitely gave us butterflies in the stomach. But then we thought – bring it on! Let’s do this together. So after our first official meeting, we sneaked out so many times for small/quick dates facilitated by our friends. As time passed we knew we were meant to be together.”
The Pre-Wedding Shoot
“Before we decided on anything else, our wedding photographer was in place. We got in touch with Sunny Dhiman in Chandigarh and then just followed what he advised. We let him decide what would be the best for us and trust me we’re so happy with our decision.
Sunny decided on the pre-wedding shoot in Ladakh. At first, we were a little skeptical. Travelling is a challenge and the weather conditions are extreme but then we chose to follow what he said. We took a road trip to Ladakh with Sunny and his crew which turned out to be most memorable. There were hurdles during the trip in terms of weather conditions, low oxygen levels but every effort was worth it. We have memories for a lifetime now and we cherished every moment of it.
It was also the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the wedding preparations. The destination itself was so serene and mesmerizing. We just got immersed in the beauty of it and enjoyed every moment of this shoot.
Sunny Dhiman is the most patient and calm person we’ve come across. His crew is equally comfortable to work with. They give you your space and time to get comfortable with the camera. We were really impressed with their work ethics. We were one big group of friends shooting and capturing the best moments. You only need to tell the team what you want as a final result and then just let them create the magic for you.”
