Surrounded by the raw beauty of Pondicherry, this couple’s beachside pre-wedding photoshoot was filled with playful and romantic moments.

A perfect example of love taking one by surprise, Ayushi Singhi, and Aayush Srisrimal, casual acquaintances at first, were set up by a mutual family friend that arranged for them to meet. After a whirlwind romance where the duo took their time to understand each other, Ayushi and Aayush took the momentous decision to tie the knot. But unfortunately, their plans were thrown into chaos as the pandemic descended menacingly across the globe. Unfazed however, by their derailed plans and determined to enjoy every moment before they stepped into marital bliss, the love-struck duo orchestrated a stunning pre-wedding photoshoot. Helmed by WeddingSutra Favorite – Happy Flashbacks who used their superior skills to capture the couple’s unfiltered joy in each shot, this photoshoot was clearly a mesmerizing treat for the eyes.
Describing how their love took root, Ayushi shares, “We both knew about each other but were set up by a mutual family friend. A few conversations later we were already hitting it off at our local cafe where we indulged in coffee and cheesecakes. However, both of us were mindful about taking our time and also made a few pacts before we decided to become partners for life. But our love story wasn’t without its hiccups as our families stepped in and got involved later. But throughout the twists and turns, we never gave up on our love and convinced our parents to take things forward.”
As the pandemic raged on around the world, orchestrating a pre-wedding photoshoot was no mean feat. But teaming up with the couple, Happy Flashbacks understood their vision and accomplished this colossal task effortlessly. Describing the planning that went on behind the scenes and the unforgettable moments of the shoot, Ayushi says, “Due to COVID-19, we couldn’t travel to the destination we originally had in mind, so we zeroed in on the closest beautiful place in the same city which was Pondicherry. At first, I was really hesitant but after some research, I realized that the destination did not matter as long as Aayush was there with me. For the theme, we decided to go with ‘beachy vibes’ since we were on a coastal location.
However, the highlight of the shoot was when Aayush surprised me with a spontaneous proposal. We were happily shooting in the middle of the sea on the rocks when all of sudden, I saw Aayush down on his knees with a ring in his hands! Normally, he’s very camera shy, so this gesture hit me out of the blue and I was completely swept away by his irresistible gesture of love!”
Gushing about her experience with the photography team, she goes on to share, “Our experience with Happy Flashbacks was nothing short of seamless. Quite by chance, we stumbled upon them online while we were shortlisting our wedding photographer. Our initial planning started off as we discussed our pre-wedding shoot locations, where they suggested many off-beat venues. But due to the pandemic, we ended up choosing Pondicherry that was closer to home. Both of us knew from day one itself that they were the perfect choice as photographers, as their team was very warm, welcoming, and understood our vision clearly. Pre-wedding photoshoots are challenging at times, but they never made us feel uncomfortable. In fact, they encouraged us to be ourselves in front of the camera and to enjoy the scenery around us. After looking at the pictures we were completely blown away by the quality of their work. From understanding us as a couple and our journey, to capturing candid glimpses of our nervousness on our big day, working with Happy Flashbacks has been a wholesome, hassle-free, and heartwarming experience!”
