Swathed in shades of green, this couple’s haldi event was unconventional and colorful!
Wedding Planning - Oct 4, 2022
Resembling a beautiful, boho enchanted forest, Jhanvi Kothari and Vinay Bhansali’s haldi function in Mumbai looked straight out of the pages of a storybook with its creative elements. Making this dream come true with their attention to detail and creative flair was WeddingSutra Favorite – Fireflies who orchestrated the design and decor of the event.
Describing the brief that she received from the couple when it came to conceptualising and decorating the haldi event, Aditi Hamlai from Fireflies shares, “For the haldi event, the couple steered clear of the usual range of yellows and oranges. Instead, they chose soothing shades of green and even asked their guests to dress up in the same hue. On the decor front, we incorporated different shades of greens in terms of fabrics, prints, and natural greens. Since the couple were into a boho look that also looked joyful, we accentuated the greens with many other bright colours and added lots of cane baskets, hand-painted bamboos, and colourful leaves into the mix.”
Spurred by the couple’s willingness to explore a new way to celebrate haldi and their own creativity, Fireflies decor crafted a stunning setup for the couple. As the guests walked in dressed in varying hues of green, the decor complemented them with its own array of textures and natural elements. Aditi shares, “For the couple’s seating we
chose a cosy loveseat where they could lounge and be surrounded by their loved ones. Surrounded by bright florals, upside-down cane baskets with suspended blooms and placed on a small stage, this seating area was the centre of attention!” Another attraction was the teepee-like arch at the entrance decorated with flowers where everyone took a multitude of pictures and selfies.
