These childhood sweethearts turned a new page in their decade-long love story with a heartwarming wedding proposal at Cappadocia!

Set against the raw beauty of Cappadocia in Turkey, Mokshita Bhan and Revant Adlakha celebrated the beginning of a new chapter in their lives with an intimate wedding proposal. For the childhood sweethearts and travel enthusiasts, the journey towards this moment wasn’t without its hiccups but with sheer determination and Revant’s foresight, this wedding proposal was a picture-perfect moment of love!
Recollecting how they first met and how their love has evolved over the decade, Mokshita shares, “Revant and I first crossed paths at IIT coaching classes in high school. As we attended the classes together, we became fast friends and then slowly transitioned into love. Keen on staying in touch despite the many changes that came our way during our teenage years, we both went to Pune for our engineering course and then, left for the USA for our higher education. Having known each other through our growing years, we did face our fair share of highs and lows but our love was the anchor that kept us together. While on paper, ten years may seem like a long time, for us, it has passed in a blink of an eye! From being teenagers who were still figuring out their lives to being responsible adults living in a foreign country, we have come a long way and can’t wait to create a beautiful life together.”
Enthusiastic about travelling, Mokshita and Revant wanted to celebrate the beginning of a new year in Turkey which has for a long time occupied a top stop on their bucket list. And, as the trip was being planned, little did Mokshita know that this trip would also herald the beginning of a new chapter in their relationship! To set the wheels of his plan in motion, Revant asked Mokshita if she would like to do a photoshoot with him in Cappadocia to which she instantly agreed. However, a snowstorm played havoc with their plans as Mokshita shares, “I had absolutely no idea about Revant’s plans! In fact, I was so thrilled to be visiting Turkey with him. But as fate would have it, a snowstorm hit the east coast of the USA. Our flights were canceled and plans were scattered. But after multiple delays and cancellations, we finally made it to Turkey! A day after we landed, we woke up at five am to catch the sunrise with hot air balloons at Cappadocia for our photoshoot. And, just as I was enjoying the mesmerizing beauty of the place, Revant went down on one and popped the question. After 10 years of love, friendship and lots of memories, we were finally engaged and while life isn’t always perfect, that moment truly was!”
