Wedding Planning - Jan 18, 2024
Shreya Bhandari and Pankaj Manghnani’s destination wedding in Jaipur was nothing short of a fairytale with plush setups and events that had everyone having a gala time. Planning their wedding was WeddingSutra Favorite – The Vow Weavers who with their keen insights orchestrated a wedding that exceeded the couple’s expectations!
Shreya shares, “Pankaj and I were in between choosing UAE or Rajasthan to have our wedding from the very beginning. Both our families are originally from Rajasthan living in Dubai, UAE. After months of scouting venues in all the Emirates and cities, we concluded on having our wedding in Jaipur.”
On the planning front, the couple chose The Vow Weavers with their expertise weaved a series of magical events. Shreya gushes, “Our four events, including our wedding day, were nothing short of magical, thanks to the entire team at The Vow Weavers. From the moment we called to discuss our vision to all our last-minute changes and additions during the event itself, their friendliness, energy, and cooperation exceeded our expectations. The team demonstrated a genuine passion for creating a memorable experience not only for the bride and groom but for all the guests. Their friendly and approachable demeanor instantly put us at ease, making the planning process a little less complicated. They seamlessly coordinated with vendors, ensuring that everything ran smoothly. Communication is a very important factor – especially when everything had to be completed within a three-month time frame, they were always just a call or WhatsApp message away, promptly addressing any concerns or questions we had. Their transparency throughout the process created a strong sense of trust among us and the families. We wholeheartedly recommend The Vow Weavers to any couple seeking not only organizational skills but also warmth and friendliness.”
The festivities commenced with a vibrant mehndi ceremony on the first day, beginning in the afternoon and extending into the evening. Soft pastel tones infused with touches of fresh greens, yellow, and dusty rose hues created a refreshing atmosphere to the venue. Adding to the celebratory mood, guests joyously participated, adorning their hands with intricate henna patterns, dancing to the beats of the DJ and various games hosted by the anchor.
Following mehndi, the sangeet took center stage, transforming the ballroom into a captivating Moroccan Spice Market. The ambience resonated with Moroccan aesthetics, characterized by suspended rugs from the ceilings to the floor. The venue exuded an air of mystery with an abundance of rich hues like orange, red, and burgundy. Pampas grass, vintage lanterns, patterned cushions, and specially curated Moroccan lamps were thoughtfully incorporated into the decor, amplifying the enchanting ambience of the evening.
Day two of the festivities commenced with a traditional haldi ceremony. Following the customary practice, separate haldi rituals were arranged for the bride and groom. The decor featured a blend of orange and yellow blooms, accentuated by bursts of vibrant red flowers. Brass urlis and opulently upholstered furnishings further enriched the ambiance, adding an elegant touch to the event.
The evening that followed witnessed the grand phera ceremony. Bedecked with fresh white blooms along with red and gold hues, the couple favoured a more traditional decor approach for their big day. Additionally, local lac-bangle makers kept the guests engaged with colourful baubles. After the wedding, the couple proceeded to celebrate the reception with a life-sized tree at the bar setup giving the indoor celebration a jungle-like look. Greens, blues, and purples were generously used in the decor.
Shreya adds, “Our decision to select our outfits before finalizing the hotel ended up shaping the theme for all our events. We carefully chose our clothes to complement each other and align with the overall décor. I was pleasantly surprised by our planning team’s effort to transform the hotel suite into a stunning space for our photoshoots and interviews, which exceeded my expectations.”
