This couple expressed their love for music with a unique autumn-themed cocktail party with musical props
Wedding Planning - Nov 4, 2024
Based out of the USA, Tejaswi Varalwar Chinta, a professional dancer, and Abhinav Chinta, a trained singer, tied the knot in Jaipur. Honoring their Telugu roots and showcasing their deep love for music, this union was designed by WeddingSutra Favorite – Foreign Wedding Planners.
Neha Mehrotra from Foreign Wedding Planners gives us an overview of the couple’s tastes, “The directives from the duo were clear – minimalistic, elegant and understated styling. The couple had a very artistic perspective and we retained the same while designing each event. Their personal preferences were also taken into consideration as elements were curated keeping their likes and dislikes in mind.”
The mehndi and haldi were hosted together with different setups. Neha shares, “They were a blend of contemporary fusion designs amidst traditional architecture. As our bride loved Bougainvilleas, we curated the theme which revolved around the pink hues and blooms. This was accentuated by chrome and mirrorwork elements. Teal green, Jaipuri print cushions and rugs added cosiness!”
Next in line was the cocktail that tapped into the couple’s love for music. Neha adds, “The autumn season has been pivotal for the couple. Since music was the bonding factor for them, with the bride being a classical dancer and the groom a professional singer, we decided to include that within the decor theme to curate something exclusive. The cocktail had several elements of music in the colours of autumn. The stage was colossal with cascading drapes in the shades of rust, brown, crimson, and mustard to symbolise falling leaves. Another highlight was the photo booth, which was a beautiful combination of a pictorial storyboard citing the story of the couple, a rustic backdrop with musical instruments and a prop of piano notes falling from an overhead box. Props like a gramophone, records, guitar and violin were used to provide authenticity to the theme. We even transformed two huge tables into ‘pianos’ by using overlays to look like the keynotes.”
“The traditional wedding was a perfect blend of traditional Telugu elements like brass lamps, props, banana leaves & bunches, along with tons of coconuts. This was paired with soft tones of pistachio green and pink. Magnificent carved Andhra-style pillars added to the ambience. Huge brass urlis brimming with rose petals added fragrance to the air. A stunning array of terracotta bowls made for a beautiful flower petals bar. An authentic sadhya meal was served after the ceremony”, shares Neha. As dusk fell, it was time for the sangeet. “The theme was ‘Magical’. Elements like flying candles and a canopy crafted out of fairy lights over the lounge seating made the venue resemble a starry night. Several props of animals in their natural habitat made the ambience look more magical than ever.” Impressed by the design team’s commitment, Bride Tejaswini adds, “We had an amazing experience working with Foreign Wedding Planners! I loved the decor for each event. The most impressive thing was how adaptable they were even while it showered. They were breathtaking at their craft and allowed me to have a beautiful monsoon wedding!”
