This couple’s haldi ceremony was an artistic mix of old and new bright hues paired with Pichwai artwork
Wedding Planning - Oct 28, 2024
Expressing their love for modern designs while paying ode to their traditions, Shailja Tibrewal and Kashish Gupta’s union was fun yet opulent. Planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – Mosaic Events By Raj Batra, each event was vibrant and stylish.
Wedding Planning
Shailja shares, “We were looking for a mix of themes. While we love modern designs, we wanted our wedding to carry traditional elements too. The planning team was incredibly hands-on and understood the brief accurately. Mosaic Events By Raj Batra came up with unique themes that pleased the elders as well as the youngsters in our family. The ‘Modern Vrindavan’ themed mayra ceremony and the ‘Bajirao Mastani’ themed wedding ceremony were the most memorable ones!”
Wedding Functions
Welcome Dinner
Commencing in style the welcome dinner inspired awe with its ‘Circus’ theme. Shailja shares, “We’ve been acquainted with the planning team for years and when it came to the first event, we let them take over the reins completely. The result was awesome! The Circus-themed welcome party had everyone in lively spirits. Joker and magicians kept everyone entertained while the venue resembled an actual circus!”
Carnival
Sporting a variety of bright hues and dancers, the poolside carnival had everyone shaking a leg. Sunkissed and adorned with lively pink decor elements, this celebration put everyone in high spirits right before the big day.
Haldi
The haldi with its yellow and aqua decor was an intimate one where both the families interacted freely. Everyone playfully slathered the couple with haldi while pichwai decor elements and comfy seats created a comfy ambience.
Wedding
Inspired by Bollywood’s period drama movie ‘Bajirao Mastani’ the wedding was an opulent one. Brimming with floral garlands and intricate arrangements, the wedding exuded regal charm. A vintage Ganesha idol at the entrance added a touch of auspiciousness. Urlis with tuberoses and mogras made the air fragrant as the couple tied the knot.
