Serene yet stunning, CA Hemmi Juneja and Engineer Anuj Piplani’s beachfront wedding festivities were imbibed with their quirky personalities yet rooted in tradition. The couple honored their cultures by tying the knot with both Hindu and Sikh traditions in a celebration that was as beautiful as their courtship. Read on to know more.
How they met
Anuj shares, “We were introduced to each other in an arranged marriage setup. Coming from different cultures, even though things didn’t click immediately, we stayed in touch. Never-ending conversations soon evolved into love, and we decided to go on a trip to the Andaman Islands. I popped the question to her on Havelock Island and her “yes” started the journey of our beautiful multicultural wedding.”
Wedding Planning
The couple envisioned a dreamy beach wedding at an exclusive, offbeat destination and chose The Park, Visakhapatnam as the perfect venue. Hosting both Hindu and Sikh nuptials, they tied the knot with a traditional Anand Karaj at the Gurudwara, as well as a beachfront ceremony. Their special moments were captured by Cupid Love Stories.
Wedding Functions
Haldi
The festivities kicked off with a vibrant haldi soiree full of fun, lively moments. Imagined with the sunkissed decor of yellow and white, the intimate function painted a vivid picture against the azure blue sea. Dressed in hues of yellow, the couple made a stunning entrance amidst puffs of colorful smoke.
Engagement
Stepping things up with a dose of glamor, the engagement evening was bling galore. The decor of white drapes and flowers came together with golden tinsel and tons of candles to set a magical ambiance. The couple exuded elegance as they exchanged rings before dancing the night away with their loved ones.
Anand Karaj
The next morning began with a traditional Anand Karaj ceremony at the local Gurudwara. Keeping it simple with minimalist orange floral decor, the couple celebrated the auspicious occasion with their close friends and family.
Wedding
Imagined with a romantic pink decor palette that lit up in the rays of the setting sun, the beach wedding was as magical as could be. Dressed in hues of pink to match the mood, the couple was the picture of happiness as they vowed eternal love.
Reception
The couple concluded the festivities with a relaxed, elegant reception gathering. The minimalistic decor of flowers and pampas lent a chic feel to the evening, as the newlyweds celebrated their union with their loved ones.
