This couple’s Mahabalipuram Shore Temple-inspired wedding was a stunner!
Wedding Planning - May 13, 2024
Taking a cue from one of the oldest stone structures in India, the Mahabalipuram Shore Temple, Parvathy and Shashank’s wedding was majestic. Carefully planned and designed by WeddingSutra Favorite – Watermark Weddings, the wedding honored traditions in a luxurious way.
Wedding Planning
For planning and designing the wedding, Parvathy and Shashank chose Watermark Weddings who understood the brief precisely. As ardent admirers of classic stone temples that exude majesty, the couple were keen on a setup resembling the heritage Mahabalipuram Shore Temple, one of the oldest structural stone temples in India. Spurred by the duo’s vision, Watermark Wedding crafted a traditional wedding with a touch of the divine. Classic Indian elements were presented in a new-age manner seamlessly. Tunes of classical Carnatic music played by U. Rajesh, popularly known as Mandolin Rajesh, made the celebration even more magical.

Luxurious gold, earthy grey and delicate pops of pink worked harmoniously to create a wedding setup that was steeped in tradition, romance and vintage grandeur. Life-sized statues of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha added to the auspiciousness of the day. Pink roses worked in tandem with white jasmine blossoms to add a splash of color. Gilded lotus-shaped candlestands, urlis and diya stands contrasted wonderfully with the intricate stone-work pillars.
