This couple’s unique nature-inspired wedding mandap featured two intertwining trees adorned with clouds of gypsos!
Wedding Planning - Dec 27, 2024
Entrepreneur Shimul Patel and photographer Rahul Jhangiani’s love story began seven years ago in Paris and found its ‘happily ever after’ in Goa where the couple tied the knot in style. Planning their union was WeddingSutra Favorite – The Wedding Page who with their creativity and insights orchestrated a series of swoon-worthy celebrations.
Anurag Singh tell us about the brief shared by the couple, “The duo, being creative in their way, wanted the decor of the phera ceremony to feel light, dreamy and intimate reflecting their personalities. The decor was highly inspired by nature. An offbeat design broke away from the uniformity for a flowy abstract design that would create dreamy yet modern aesthetics to complement the venue. Plus, Shimul loves baby’s breath and white blooms, hence we tried to incorporate the same in the design story.”
He then went on to give us an in-depth explanation of what went on behind the scenes to make the couple’s vision come to life, “The entire venue for the mandap was created from scratch by bulldozing and getting the landscape on one level. The phera venue was also infused with a beautiful glass house with a specially designed deck for food and beverage. We focused on a blend of nature-inspired elegance and minimalistic charm to complement the venue. The stage was sketched and developed taking inspiration from the curves of the swimming pool, avoiding any rigid traditional structures. Plus, the wooden texture of the stage enhanced the natural beauty of the outdoor space. Baby’s breath and white blooms were generously added keeping the bride’s preferences in mind. The unique wedding mandap weaved a story of two trees blending in harmoniously to create a beautiful installation that we aptly named ‘Sacred Symphony’.
Hanging birdcage chandeliers added depth and created a warm, romantic evening. Petite ornaments suspended from existing trees made the entire setup come together. Instead of a straight aisle, we chose a curvy aisle with florals and greenery, transforming the entire area into a lush garden.”
