This couple’s wedding mandap with its red and white color palette was a heartfelt ode to their Bengali heritage

An ode to the couple’s love for their Bengali roots, Anwesha Bhattacharya and Abhishek Ghosh’s wedding was marked by candid moments of affection and rich hues. Planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – Dhaaga Events, the wedding fit the bill perfectly when it came to elegance.
The first day of celebrations commenced with a ring ceremony followed by a cocktail celebration and an after-party. Under the glare of the spotlights, the couple had a gala time dancing and exchanging rings in a romantic ceremony. Backed by an LED backdrop, the couple’s family also took the opportunity to put their best foot forward on stage.
A day before the wedding, the couple celebrated their haldi by the poolside. Referred to as ‘Gaye Holud’ in Bengali, the haldi ceremony was sunkissed and playful as everyone slathered the couple with a turmeric mix. Iskon devotees added an auspicious touch to the occasion by flanking the couple as they made a ‘Radha Krishna’ themed entry. Indulging in a scrumptious lunch, the event ended with a ‘phoolon ki holi’ where the couple was showered with flower petals.
Later in the evening, the couple tied the knot in a traditional Bengali wedding ceremony in a red and white mandap adorned with blooms. Red blooms and red drapes cut a striking contrast with the dark starlit sky and reflected the couple’s love for their heritage. The bride and groom also made stylish entries with dancers adding a dash of drama.
The wedding ceremony was followed by a lively reception where famed Bollywood singer Shaan crooned the couple’s favourite tunes. LED lights and orbs lit up the indoor venue where the couple celebrated till the wee hours of the morning.
