This luxurious wedding amidst the snowy Swiss Alps will inspire you with its dreamy decor!

Surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of St.Moritz in Switzerland, this union was a voyage of love and celebration. Unlike usual Indian destination weddings, this wedding embraced the local culture just as warmly as they savored their own Indian intricacies. Subtle decor, top-notch music and of course, the view of the snowy Swiss Alps made it a fairytale celebration that was punctuated by modern grandeur. Planning and designing this union was WeddingSutra Favorite – FB Celebrations with their expertise, wide network and love for innovation!
Describing the beauty of the landscape and how they molded their plans around it, Bhavnesh Sawhney and Farid Khan from FB Celebrations share, “The revelries took place at the iconic Suvretta House in St.Moritz which has been a luxurious hotspot amongst the jet-setters. The venue itself exudes elegance and grandeur. We wanted to build on these elements as we went ahead planning the wedding. Everything was kept delicate right from the bloom arrangements to the illumination. All in all, this venue was a refreshing change and quite extraordinary with its serene beauty. Consequently, we ensured that not a detail was overlooked as we wanted the events to merge seamlessly with the venue’s allure.”
The first day kicked off with a cricket game – a favorite sport for Indians all over the world. And, what’s better than a cricket game with a majestic view of the Alps? Bhavnesh shares, “The cricket game was hosted on the Zouz Grounds which was a fantastic location. With white canopies and long wooden tables for the players to refresh themselves after the game, the setup was fuss-free with simple floral arrangements as centerpieces on the table.” After the rigors of the day, the guests were treated to a magical Grand Ball. Farid shares, “The guests were directed to the extravagant Suvretta Grand Ballroom where an incredible world was unexpectedly revealed. As guests interacted and savored the opulent setting and the magnificent performance by Fire and Ice, the floral displays and exquisite table settings, fostered an atmosphere of celebration.”
The very next day, a midday brunch was on the cards at Trutz, a restaurant at Suvretta House. Bhavnesh shares, “What followed into the next midday, the brunch at Trutz, was a journey of unmatched delight. Making it an amazing experience in the heart of the Swiss Alps, filling the air with lovely tunes that set the mood for an afternoon of celebration and dancing, from the picturesque setting and sophisticated environment to the enticing selection of dishes.”
The celebrations also included a musical evening where melodious tunes enchanted the senses. Decorated with pastel blooms and lit up by candles and fairy lights, the atmosphere at this event was charged with a sense of peace as the guests tapped their toes. A ‘New York’ Brunch was also part of the festivities with a large spread, outdoor seating and plenty of champagne!
