This Surprise Proposal For Birthday-Girl Richa Was Set Against Dubai’s Dazzling Night Sky

Jay planned a simple yet romantic proposal at Palace Downtown in Dubai for his lady love, Richa. The newly-engaged couple had met through their parents but instantly knew that they were bound to be more than just acquaintances from the moment they locked eyes.
How We Met
Richa said, “Nine months ago, Jay and I met through our parents. We knew that we would instantly become close. Flashforward to now and here we are – already engaged!”
The Proposal
The bride-to-be said, “On January 18, my birthday, Jay took me out for dinner. I was excited and looked forward to the evening. We went to my favorite Thai restaurant, for what I believed was a romantic date night. The next thing I knew, the dancing fountain started a display to the song “Hero” by Enrique Iglesias. As the tuned of this song played in the background, he grabbed my hand and held me close, and expressed his feeling for me. Before I could even get a hold of the moment, he was down on one knee, with the most beautiful ring in his hand and asked me to marry him. I was in tears and overwhelmed with joy. I instantly said ‘Yes!’. It was the best birthday present that I have ever received.”
