This Udaipur Wedding in the Middle of Lake Pichola Will Take Your Breath Away!

A union of two people, two families, that is meant to last a lifetime, is worthy of a grand, momentous celebration. When that celebration is hosted at a magnificent location, the memories made at the nuptials are tinged with an exotic, opulent flair.
WeddingSutra Favorite Shana Namrata Events knew exactly what emotions they were evoking when they planned all the wedding celebrations at the Jagmandir Palace in Udaipur. The affair is sure to be etched in the memories of the couple’s guests for a long time to come.
The City of Lakes has no dearth of picturesque waterfront locations, but there is one location which is unique and incomparable. Seated on an island in the middle of Lake Pichola, the Jagmandir Palace is an outstanding venue. Shana of Shana Namrata Events talks about how easy it was to make the decision, “From the moment the couple and their families came to us, it was clear that they were looking for a place with timeless traditional charm. We suggested Jagmandir Palace with its gorgeous architecture and rich history. We knew it would color the events with a regal magic.”
The team gave every event a distinctive personality via exceptional décor and the merriment began to unfurl as soon as the family arrived at the destination. It all began with a sit-down dinner, a stand-up comedy night and then a cocktail party for the young folks.
The next morning, the duo welcomed the other guests and the wedding officially commenced with a Rajasthan themed lunch. “We wanted to give everyone a feel of the destination as soon as they arrived. The decor was bursting with color and we made use of several elements of The Land of the Kings,” said Namrata of Shana Namrata Events.
That evening, everyone made their way to the Zenana Mahal for the sangeet. At the event, the team created the most awe-inspiring setting using luxurious fabrics and creative lighting. “We didn’t want to draw attention away from the original majestic look of the Mahal by smothering it with floral decor. We were very keen on accentuating its unique beauty instead, and bringing in the correct light fixtures helped us achieve that,” Shana explains. One of the most mesmerizing moments from the night was the ring ceremony that took place on an elevated jharoka after which the couple joined the audience for the performances.
A poolside brunch the next day was just what was needed to lighten the mood. Rustic aesthetics were engineered via a wooden backdrop with twine elements and floral arrangements. “The brunch was designed to leave everyone thoroughly entertained and the mood here was very relaxed. There was lively music playing, foot massage stations and lots of dancing.”
That evening, Jagmandir Palace was transformed from a spot for an upbeat party to a venue fit for a royal wedding. In tones of red and white, each detail spoke of extravagance rendered in rich drapes, decor features enveloped in fragrant blooms and luxurious seating upholstered in velvet.
Over the course of three days, Shana Namrata Events created unforgettable memories for not just the couple, but also their guests with impeccable planning and flawless execution.
