This Wild Engagement Decor By A New Knot Is Straight Out Of A Jungle Safari
Wedding Planning - Apr 13, 2020
Maya and Aditya, two wildlife enthusiasts, had their engagement at The Great Eastern Mills in Mumbai. Keeping his lady love’s interest in mind, Aditya had popped the big question to Maya in a game reserve, in front of their whole family. To celebrate the beautiful memories from the trip, the couple approached the talented team of WeddingSutra Favorite – A New Knot who magically transformed the venue into an enchanting game reserve, worked closely with the couple to give them a engagement celebration as they had envisioned.
Following the wildlife reserve theme, the team at A New Knot created a space in a rundown mill by creating a tent inside an empty room that resembled a gala party held inside a forest. To add to the overall magical atmosphere, the music of the chirping birds and crickets near the entranceway, in sync with the theme, transported the guests to the magical forest.
Their decor took inspiration from flora and fauna found in the wildlife reserve, where they added rustic yet elegant elements, creating a unique and charming ambiance. The color palette included mainly greens, browns, whites, and animal prints, with soft lighting offering the guests to sit back and soak in the forest vibe.
The team at A New Knot created a lush wedding table for guests to gather around and soak in the experience of dining in the middle of a game reserve. Greenery and flowers were abundant, including ferns, dried leaves, roses, sprigs of baby’s breath. The outdoor venue’s beautiful trees added to the jungle charm, with huge lanterns artfully hung from these trees warmly lighting up the location.
At the entrance, guests were greeted by wildlife pictures amidst plants, and fresh and dried flowers, setting the tone for the event. Adding a quirky touch, a fun photobooth was set up, lit with spotlights, and decorated in a cheetah print design. There was also a person dressed up in a cheetah-print onesie to create some amusing pictures. Keeping with the theme, there was a rugged-looking open jeep at the venue exuding safari vibes, and palm trees around the stage to add to the jungle feel.
