Transitioning seamlessly from traditional to contemporary themes, this couple’s wedding in Agra used a delightful blend of colors at each event

A heady mix of fun and elegance accentuated by vivid floral setups, Vinayak and Shrishti Agarwal’s wedding was planned and designed by WeddingSutra Favorite – The Platinum Planners. Accurately guiding the couple through the maze of wedding planning while ensuring the duo’s dream transformed into reality, the planning team orchestrated a series of seamless celebrations for the couple surrounded by the greenery of Agra.
Hosted in February, the festivities commenced with a carnival where pastel hues dominated the color palette. Lavender, light yellow, soft peach and powder blue contrasted with the surrounding greenery. Vivid fuschia and orange blooms added pops of brightness. The Platinum Planners team shares, “The couple was keen on going for subtle pastel hues for the carnival. However, we did add pops of color to balance out the palette with hydrangea printed table clothes, large floral setups and quirky signboards.”
After the serene color scheme of the carnival, the couple chose jewel tones for their sangeet night. Emerald green, rich teal and deep red adorned the venue. The artful use of latticework and gold elements gave the evening a subtle hint of glamour as the family took to the stage to groove the night away.
With red and white hues, the wedding was traditional with a modern touch. Garlands of white jasmine with scarlet roses on the end were suspended from the mandap. Brass vases bursting with red blooms, brass plates brimming with mogras and a pristine white aisle line with red blooms completed the design story.
In the evening, the couple transitioned from the traditional wedding setup to a contemporary reception party. Using monochrome hues and lush foliage, the team was at their creative best as they curated the smallest of details. The Platinum Planners team shares, “The reception theme revolved around an enchanted forest with a cocktail party vibe. Nooks were adorned with green foliage and carefully placed green ambient lights gave the celebration a mesmerising feel. At the entrance, the couple’s journey was depicted with large posters. Plus, a customised menu with lip-smacking cocktails kept the guests in high spirits.”
