India’s first virtual wedding fair, The World of Weddings (TWOW) garnered a lot of attention for its inaugural success. Hosted across three days, it saw numerous memorable events, one of which was an Exclusive Networking Lunch in collaboration with WeddingSutra. Read on to know more.
In the wake of a dramatic transformation, the wedding industry witnessed a game-changing venture, The World of Weddings (TWOW). The first of its kind in India, the three-day experiential virtual wedding fair was hosted at the Grand Hyatt in Mumbai from October 23-25, 2020.
An immersive, one-of-a-kind online event, it brought together industry mavens to directly showcase their offerings and address the wedding woes of consumers within the comfort of their homes. Showcasing prestigious industry veterans from across the board, including wedding planners, tourism boards, hotels, decor stylists, photographers, choreographers, and fashion designers alongside food and beverage experts, it aimed to get couples and their families access to the latest information, trends and insights at the click of a button.
The Exclusive Networking Lunch was organized by WeddingSutra and Grand Hyatt Mumbai on the second day of the event. Hosted by Parthip Thyagarajan, CEO and Co-founder of WeddingSutra.com, and Bandita Patnaik, Area Director of Sales – West for Hyatt Hotels India, the invite-only affair welcomed 10 engaged couples. The afternoon was aimed at helping them explore current trends and the best of what vendors across the industry have to offer. The event saw a spirited exchange of ideas and trends accompanied by delectable delicacies and a screening of the ongoing virtual fair.
The three-day itinerary included 30-minute sessions by specialists from different categories offering bespoke services such as Forevermark, Masaba Gupta, Farah Khan, Archana Kochhar, Ojas Rajani, The Wedding Story, Eshaa Amiin, and many more. Highlights of the event included a tête-à-tête with musical sensations like Salim Merchant, Darshan Raval, Kanika Kapoor, Benny Dayal, Neeti Mohan and Sukriti & Prakriti who spoke about the indispensable beauty of music at weddings. Panel discussions with veterans included conversations about subjects like conscious weddings, virtual networking, catering trends and hosting dream weddings at royal residences.
