Wedding Venue
For a relaxed destination wedding that would serve both as a celebration and a family getaway, the couple chose the quaint coastal town of Koh Samui in Thailand. Hosting their festivities across a plethora of venues, the couple offered their guests unique experiences, such as a yacht party, garden lunch, beachside nuptials, and a Reception under the stars.
The verdant property of Garden of Eden played host to a lively bohemian Haldi function. Spread across lush gardens with exotic trees, fountains, and a greenhouse-style cafe, the venue promised sunkissed revelries and picturesque moments.
The elegant oceanfront resort of Hyatt Regency Koh Samui, located just 8 minutes away from Koh Samui International Airport, was the setting of their private beach wedding. With 140 rooms including 17 spacious suites and villas with private balconies, plunge pools, and stunning sea views, the property offered a luxurious stay experience to all their guests. Moreover, the hotel’s striking range of venues, from a private beach to lavish ballrooms, invited them to craft functions with distinctive flavors and personalities, complete with gourmet culinary offerings by Chef Hans Raj Thakur, from the kitchen of Yangna Cuisine. With a strong grasp of the nuances of Indian weddings, Hyatt’s experienced wedding coordination team handled every detail with seamless management.
Wedding Planning
The couple envisioned a dreamy beachside celebration with just friends and family and turned to Bliss Events & Wedding to plan and design the festivities. Wedding Functions
Welcome Yacht Party
Garima and Mohit kicked off the 3-day wedding getaway with an evening of drinks and dancing on the waves! Planned for just their close friends and family, the intimate yacht party saw delicious seafood barbeque, tasty cocktails, and a whole lot of fun. The bride wore a flamboyant pink dress that stood out against the blue ocean, while the groom wore a chic checkered suit for the occasion. They exchanged rings to great applause and champagne toasts, and everyone spent the evening dancing to the beats of the DJ.
Haldi
The next day dawned with the fun and frolic of the Haldi ceremony with a lively lunch soiree at the stunning property of Garden of Eden! The wild greenery of the garden, almost whimsical in its beauty, lit up with pops of yellow as the decor of marigolds lent a vibrant touch to the occasion. The highlight however was the striking Haldi setup with a pristine white structure that was hung with drapes and marigolds, where the couple sat in brass urlis and were showered with petals and anointed with haldi. Hosted at the property’s indoor cafe, the lunch lay saw fresh local produce and delectable dishes for the guests to enjoy.
Wedding
Imagined in an ethereal setting of white flowers and lush foliage right next to the ocean, the beach wedding was as enchanting as could be! The intimate occasion exuded elegant minimalism and featured a dreamy floral aisle and mandap. The bride and groom wore the classic combination of red and white as they took their vows, post which the bride changed into a charming ruffled gown in peach for the afterparty. The evening followed with energetic dance performances as the newlyweds and their loved ones took to the dance floor and partied into the wee hours of the morning!
Reception
The festivities came to a close with a stylish black-tie Reception dinner. Dressed in all black, the couple posed a striking figure against a romantic setup of red roses and candles against the sunset sky. Surrounded by their loved ones, they cut the cake and celebrated their new life with a lavish dinner, drinks, and dancing.
