Wrapped in roses and bathed in a soft champagne glow, this wedding reception unfolded like an elegant floral reverie

Shruti Agrawal and Rahul Gupta’s wedding reception unfolded as a vision in rosé, where romance met refinement effortlessly. Conceptualised and designed by WeddingSutra Favorite – Elusive Dreams By Pooja Doshi, seamlessly planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – Centre Point Events, and brought to life with immersive décor by WeddingSutra Favorite – Mokshiva Entertainment, the evening was layered with elegance and thoughtful detailing.

From the very first step inside, guests were transported into what felt like a twilight garden bathed in the soft blush of champagne. A sweeping aisle framed by grand arches, wrapped in dense floral installations in shades of blush, ivory, and muted pink, created a sense of depth and quiet drama. The florals were abundant yet restrained, creating a passage that felt intimate despite the ballroom’s scale. “We wanted the entry to feel like walking through a rosé garden at dusk,” shares Pooja Doshi. “The idea was to create a cocoon of florals that felt luxurious but never overwhelming.”

The stage emerged as a blooming tableau. A sculpted backdrop layered with thousands of flowers in varying textures formed the focal point of the evening. Garden roses, spray roses and delicate climbing trails were interwoven with soft candlelight and subtle gold accents, allowing the setting to glow with warmth. Floral clusters were adorned organically across panels, softening the structure and adding movement to the design. “Dimension was key,” Pooja explains. “We avoided flat floral walls and instead layered textures and tones so the backdrop felt alive and fluid. It had to look like love in full bloom, not a constructed set.” Above, the ballroom ceiling was transformed with suspended fabric flowers and cascading chandeliers that cast a flattering glow across the space. The interplay of drapery and crystal detailing added fullness and height, reinforcing the rosé narrative. And, the lighting design enhanced the champagne undertones of the palette.

Even the seating echoed the romance. Blush velvet chairs adorned with delicate botanical motifs carried the floral story forward, tying the aesthetic together with grace. Every detail, from the arches to the chandeliers, felt cohesive and intentional. “This wasn’t just about choosing a colour,” says Pooja. “Rosé became a mood. It symbolised warmth, celebration and romance.”
