Tips to Nail the Perfect Bridal Look at your Thailand Wedding
Makeup Tips by Sejal Sachnakul for Thailand Destination Wedding Brides.
A scenic and warm country, Thailand is a magnet for Millenials who want to wed in a delightful destination. The beautiful beaches and lush islands that host many luxury resorts are heavenly – and humid! However, you can slay with your bridal look in this tropical paradise with makeup tips from WeddingSutra Favorite – Sejal Sachnakul who hails from Thailand.
How should a bride prep her skin before getting married in a tropical destination like Thailand?
“Since Thailand is a coastal tropical region, the climate there is pretty humid. The weather and urban pollution can take a toll on your skin if a proper skincare routine is not practiced. I always advise my brides to start their skincare routines three months in advance, with their cleansing, toning, moisturizing, and sunscreen application in the day, and a similar routine at night. In the night, brides can simply cleanse, tone, and apply a small amount of snail gel, which is pretty famous here and helps your skin stay supple and hydrated. I can’t harp enough on the importance of sleep as that will pay off really well on your wedding day. Apart from all of these, I recommend that my brides drink some coconut water every day.”
Any skincare tips for outdoor beach weddings? How can a bride ensure that her makeup stays flawless longer at long events held in the open?
“Beach weddings call for sunscreen, moisturizer, and staying hydrated! The mantra to make your beach wedding makeup last long and look flawless is to use products of superior quality. I have always had really good reviews from my clients as the makeup I use stays intact for at least 12 hours. However, I recommend a bridesmaid keep a compact powder pack handy for a quick touch up just in case makeup begins to smudge or melt.”
What colors should a bride pick for a tropical beach wedding?
“I have seen a wave of changes in Indian bridal wear trends. A lot of brides nowadays opt for unconventional looks. Pastel hues are some of my favorites when it comes to bridal lehengas, and I recommend choosing one from this range. The pictures come out really nice, especially when taken against coastal backdrops.”
Which exotic florals should a bride pick for her hairdo?
“Yellow Ratchaphruek is great for haldi or mehendi look, while white or pink frangipani is perfect for a sangeet. Jasmine, on the other hand, too, is beautiful for all smaller events. These flowers are native to Thailand and there are some amazing floral jewellery artists who make beautiful kaleeras, bangles, and maang tika from fresh blooms.”
How can a bride add Thai elements to her wedding looks?
“The key to incorporating Thai elements in a wedding look is to keep it natural and minimal. Brides can alternatively use colorful tropical flowers in their hairdos, or wear shades of aqua, emerald, sapphire, and teal ensembles.”
